Responsible for managing and coordinating asset integrity, maintenance, inspection and testing activities to assure the continued safe operation of the terminal and dock equipment to ensure that maintenance activities are executed in close collaboration with operations including optimized planning and resource allocation whilst minimizing impact on facility process and production. Develop and control the maintenance budget that provides for optimized spending to achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability along with developing preventive maintenance plans and procedures, skills assessments, and training.

Provide effective continuous management and support for EPC grassroots Crude oil, C-5 terminal with ship, barge and pipe line interconnection transfer capabilities consisting of 10- 250,000-barrel tanks equipped with IFR roofs, 40,000-barrel per hour flow rate ship dock, and 5,000-barrel per hour flow rate barge dock and 20,000-barrel per hour flow rate pipe line. Dismantled polymerization units for transportation and reassembly to new location in Utah; scope included the demolition and removal of the crude, FCC, and associated systems onsite inside operating units.

Lyondell Basell’s Olefins Plant (La Porte, TX); $175 million; 900 peak manpower

Project managed the construction and procurement for the erection of 2 new Linde Dual-Cell Ethylene Furnaces. Scope involved steel erection, equipment installation, refractory installation, piping, electrical, and instrumentation.

Supervised build of 280 megawatt solar power generating facility which included approximately 2000-acre solar field with two steam turbines two cooling towers and thermal energy storage (TES) facility with a six to eight-hour capacity.

Solar Field Superintendent/Startup Manager, 7/2009 to 2/2011

Florida Power & Light, Martin Solar Energy Center; $250 million; 1500 peak manpower

Managed the EPC contract for innovative hybrid concentrated solar power facility consisting of approximately 180K mirrors over a 500-acre mirror array field. Facility is the first hybrid facility in the world to connect a solar facility to an existing combined cycle power plant, with expansion of existing cooling tower and water treatment providing 75 megawatts of solar thermal capacity that directly displaces fossil fuel usage. Plant went online December 2010 under budget and ahead of schedule.

Bosque Power, 2X1 Combined Cycle Upgrade; $150 million; 900 peak manpower

Managed the EPC contract for the expansion of the Bosque County Generating Plant; scope of project involved conversion of two existing simple-cycle combustion turbine units into a (2x1) combined cycle configuration with added cooling tower and water treatment this conversion increased the nominal output of the plant from 546 MW to 770MW.
