3. MY WAREHOUSE MANAGER ROLES:

• Manage, oversee, supervise, and participate in storeroom operations which include receiving, storage and dispatching of goods from the warehouse making sure all processes and procedures are according to TLC Warehouse Policy Guidelines.

• Approve requisitions, analyses work orders, etc.

• Develop an effective record keeping procedure for efficient operations.

• Planning, leading, organizing and controlling all operations of Supply Chain including processes and procedures.

• Plan and monitor for fleet movement from loading point to the destination.

• Brief staff on materials to be loaded or on assembly of items to be delivered.

• Check with staff for changes that could affect delivery schedule; make schedule adjustments as needed.

• Review paperwork from deliveries to determine if additional work requirements will occur. Check documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary.

• Initiate all requests for replenishment of stock.

• Check and authorize Goods Received Notes and Delivery notes for every warehouse transaction.

• Oversee the receipt and dispersal of materials entering or leaving warehouse; help storekeepers with this task when required.

• Take periodic inventories and participate in monthly inventory program (Stock Takes and Stock Checks)

4. MY TERMINAL/DEPOT MANAGER ROLES:

• Managing and regulating use of bulky transport carrying Petroleum products to customers and clients.

• Receipts, Storage and Distribution of Petroleum and Lubes to all chevron customer site in the Southern Region of Malawi according to the distribution plan

• Responsible for Short- and Long-Term planning in, Procurement of products, Operations, Storage, Logistics, Sales and Marketing development of corporate business within Caltex oil industry in Malawi to ensuring timely and up to date delivery of products to our retails customers and dealers.

• Work closely with the Security Officer to ensure security of logistics infrastructure including selection, training and management of security staff and delegation of responsibilities for locking and material releases.

• Allocation of trucks delivery sites accordingly in line with the Journey plans for the day.

• Offloading of private trucks in our depot from Beira and calculate losses/gains for every truck.

• Represent Chevron in logistics coordination meeting and ensure coordination with partners, local authorities, UN/INGOs.

• Ensure Chevron participation and involvement in Logistics cluster activities and coordination when there is cluster activation.

• Managing, enforcing, and encouraging of Health and Terminal Safety to Terminal Staff ensuring everyone is conversant with safety requirements, policy and guidelines.

• Responsible for procurement planning, prequalification of suppliers, Tender preparation, bid invitation and evaluation ensuring procurement is done with set guidelines as recommended.

• Managing timely submission of reports.

• Implementing of excellent customer service meetings, timely deliveries to meet customer requirements, expectations, and satisfactions by setting up daily, weekly and monthly targets for suppliers and transporters.

• Demonstration of an in depth technical and product knowledge to drive the marketing and sales growth.

• Work closely with Human Resources Manager: to identify personnel requirements and develop labour plan with details of labour requirements and work schedules; prepare job descriptions and management structure including all skilled and unskilled jobs; establish pay rates for all staff and preparation/ execution of regular payroll; and oversee recruitment, training and supervision of staff if needed.

• Produce performance appraisals for Logistics staff as required.

• Ensuring safe operation in respect to environment compliances ensuring safety is the number one priority at the workplace.

• Monitoring of delivery movement from the points of loading to final distribution point

• Ensuring that trucks carrying the product are in the right condition in terms of brakes head light, indicators, tires capacity .license,insurances and general vehicle condition

• Responsible for ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and sales of lubes to all retail as well as commercial customers.

5. MY ROLES AS COMMODITY AND LOGISTICS SPECIALIST:

• Identifying requirements, establishing, and maintaining all logistical infrastructures for administration and operations.

• Identifying and analysing procurement and transport requirements including those of collaborating agencies and host counterparts as appropriate. Take responsibility for fleet management including develop vehicle plans for fuel and maintenance requirements and costing.

• Take responsibility for movement of all goods and equipment including coordinate with Warehouse Manager, Procurement Manager and Distribution staff to ensure efficient and timely delivery of relief commodities.

• Establish funding requirements for logistics sector. Work closely with Finance Manager to prepare logistics and programme support budget.

• Liaising with transport, shipping, and insurance companies

• Negotiating price, specification, and delivery details

• Monitor inventory levels to ensuring that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities.

• Receive parts, maintain inventory, check-out parts as needed to Data centre Technicians and Engineers, and pull parts for daily deliveries.

• Loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations.

• Maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.

• Establishing and maintaining records like stock lists, material control, inventory, supply reports and accounting

• Reviewing and verifying quantities received against bills of contracts, lading, shipping documents and purchase requests.

• Performing prescribed load list and shop stock list duties according to manual and automated supply applications

• Provided logistical support to eight units to ensure that the equipment is ready for use.

• Responsible for professional Warehouse and Commodity Management planning as well as storage of huge stocks of food stuffs in the warehouse working as an official custodian of all the stocks in it.

• Ensuring that accurate operations accounting, and reporting systems are maintained.

• Preparation of Monthly Logistical and Distribution plans and monitor an effective implementation and control of procedures and processes.
