I chose to be a caregiver for children after having children of my own. I was able to control how my children were cared for. By keeping other children not only did it give me an income but also gave my children playmates. My days started very early in the mornings and went to the late evening. At the time the licensing law was put into effect I continued to operate an in home daycare. It was a very gratifying position and the attachment to other children other than my own was amazing.
