Galactic Advisors June 2023 – July 2023

A Remote tech and cyber security company in Nashville Tennessee whose mission is to sell IT security to businesses around the country. I am a communications/creative and this was an engineering, tech organization populated by IT types and engineers. While very nice people, the job was not a great fit, as there was zero opportunity to use my 20 PLUS years of marketing experience to help sell to their customers, even though that was the greatest need expressed by their clients. I wrote a letter two days before my 30-day review and we mutually parted ways during that 30-day review.

Media Director

Newsmax Media September 2021 – March 2023

750 Park of Commerce Drive

Boca Raton, FL 33487

Write the evening updates for the lineup of shows beginning at 4pm through 10pm daily to be posted on the website. Update splash pages daily and on the weekend. All updates including blurbs and guest promos must be completed prior to 3pm daily; usually finish by 12:30 pm. Manage earned media campaigns as directed by Chris Ruddy, CEO and Founder. I was the In-house publicist and Media Director along with outside vendors during the launch of Greta Van Susteren evening show in June of 2022. Booked and confirmed 25 interviews with mainstream media for mid-June through July and when GVS cancelled all for an emergency; rebooked all and an additional 3 bookings. Monitored and replied to all TV Feedback from Media outlets and audience members and wrote the Staff Letter for the Boca, DC and New York offices weekly.

Advisors Academy Press, LLC January of 2015 – September 14, 2022 P.O. Box 423

Pompano Beach, FL 33061

Publisher and Owner of the business. I opened my own imprint, Advisors Academy Press, LLC, and became a publisher to facilitate the goals of one of my partner/clients. I published two books for this CEO and then individual Advisors from around the US contacted me until I had produced almost a dozen books over 7 years. I then took one year to negotiate and ultimately transfer seven years of publishing and 10 books to a former partner. Seven made it to best seller status on Amazon in the non-fiction, retirement planning category and one made it to #1 on Amazon, Turning Financial Planning Right Side Up. I published one self-help book, Mindfulness for Advisors by Mary Martin, PhD, Author, in 2021. Sound Income Strategies

Registered Investment Advisory Group

Chief Marketing Officer January 2015 – August, 2020 6500 N. Federal Highway, Suite 510

Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308

In January of 2015, my partner in AAP and my CEO at Advisors’ Academy and I started an RIA in the state of Florida that just topped 500 Million in Assets under Management. We specialized in bonds and bond-like instruments and fixed indexed annuities to service the retirement needs of baby boomers. We expected to reach 800 Million in AUM by the beginning of 2019. As part of this new company, I negotiated, wrote and produce our own national TV show (2016 – 2020), The Income Generation with David J. Scranton (my CEO) on Newsmax, reaching 50 Million Households every Sunday at 10am. I executive produced the show, my staff wrote the scripts and we welcomed the top financial celebrities in the business to join us each and every week. Our target demo is baby boomers (everyone over the age of 50 who is near or in retirement). You can see our shows with Steve Forbes, Mohammed El-Erian and many more at www.theincomegeneration.com.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308 March 2014 – August 2020

I was hired in March of 2014 to expand and head-up a marketing department with 18 anemic programs and a staff of four. We now have over 24 marketing programs in place, a staff of 10, and 2 spin off businesses that have grown exponentially along with Advisors’ Academy. In late 2014, I started an imprint publishing house (our “Author Program”) called Advisors Academy Press, LLC., where we publish financial books that are distributed by Simon and Shuster. Executive Vice President

P.O. Box 33553, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33420 November 2010 – March 2014 Family owned consulting company. In October of 2010, when I left Weiss, I immediately started looking for new clients in South Florida as well as servicing the marketing needs of existing clients who know me as a Neilsen/Claritas Reseller of segmentation products and strategies for small businesses. Although I left Weiss in October I am still heavily involved in work for the financial publishers and am currently working on a video sales letter launch for Tycoon Publishing, an upsell to one of their premium subscription products. Current projects outside of financial publishing include: Analytics for the CEO of Grassrootsaction.com (and Grassfirenation.org); a series of new product launches for a South Florida advertising agency – The James R. Whelan Advertising Agency – as well as a Video Sales Letter we did from Shanghai, China and a new website redesign for the expanded agency.

Weiss Research Inc.,

Vice President of Marketing

15430 Endeavour Drive, Jupiter FL 33478 February 2009 – October 2010 Recruited in 2009 to help revitalize marketing and help restructure a 38 year old Financial Publication with a major challenge inherent in its business model - that is, promoting primarily premium products with a high refund and cancellation rate. Weiss Research Inc. is headed up by founder, Martin D. Weiss, a nationally known “bear” and bestselling author. My first job when hired in February 2009 was to promote Martin’s new book “The Ultimate Depression Survival Guide.” Using my plan, we made the NY Times Bestseller List in 8 days and ultimately sold over 40K copies during the summer of 2009. Other key accomplishments at Weiss include launching a brand new emerging market publication (Uncommonwisdomdaily.com) and moving it from an initial subscriber base of 17,000 to over 220,000 readers. Another key idea that has the power to change their business was migrating to an online membership model from a subscription model (reducing cancellation rates by approx. 40%). In addition, while VP of Marketing we launched Money and Markets TV (streaming video on set-top box platforms) both for our membership and as an additional revenue stream (anticipated in Phase II of the plan). Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Circle

Vice President of Development and Operations

401 Jefferson Ave. Towson, MD 21286 November 2006 – January 2009 Recruited by an internationally known B2B Information Marketing and Educational Company to develop their infrastructure and support the growth of their newsletter and membership base. I was the second in command for 22 months and almost doubled their sales during that time. During my tenure I planned and executed the move of our organization into new headquarters, increased both web staff and marketing production staff and brought several new revenue streams into the organization including the call center and adding trade shows to our 2 huge events annually. In 2007, was instrumental in the implementation of a new business model (KGS Enterprises LLC) and the coordination of production for a new infomercial product (The Phenomenon) which garnered close to 500K in the first 14 days of its soft launch. I added a call center to the business resulting in an additional million dollars in revenue in the first six months of operation with only 5 call seats. At the time of my departure the newsletter was converting online at a steady 9.3 percent conversion rate.

Media Research Center

Director, Head of Marketing

325 South Patrick Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 June 2004 – November 2006 The MRC is a conservative non-profit and publishing house in Alexandria, Virginia. It houses CNSNews.com and the Business and Media Institute and the Institute of Culture. Over 40 TV analysts, journalists and researchers spend day and night creating reports and writing commentary for our membership base. Hired to develop a marketing division and bring corporate marketing expertise to this 17 year old non-profit with a dwindling customer base and low retention rates. After segmenting and profiling the donor base for market opportunity, provided recommendations for a strategic alliance resulting in about 200,000 new activist members and readers for the MRC. This organization, MRCaction.org is still in existence in 2011. To meet the demand of new donors totally redesigned and re-launched the organization’s newsletter including renaming it and branding it “The Watchdog” for new subscribers. Other notable achievements include launching a new book for the MRC President and Founder, L. Brent Bozell, III, where he completed over 140 booked interviews in top markets and on top shows including the Dennis Miller Show, Hannity & Colmes and countless broadcast opportunities.
