System Project Management Office (PMO) 02/2023 - present
Assisting in the development of the new SLHS System PMO after the merger between the Office of Clinical Integration and Excellence (OCIE) and Integrated Health Technologies (IHT) PMOs.
Implementation of capacity tracking to support visibility of project manager’s capacity to executive leaders.
Supporting the team in their consistency in using Microsoft’s Project for the Web as the new system wide project delivery application.
Mentor and coach for project managers that are struggling with the new tools and standards.
Senior Manager
Integrated Health Technologies (IHT) Project Management Office (PMO) 09/2017 – 02/2023
Leader for a team of 12-15 project and program managers delivering technology related system initiatives.
Team also manages initiatives, and project portfolios, for the Pharmacy, Lab and Imaging service areas.
Represented the IHT PMO in the development of a system wide intake and governance process with the goal of transparency and prioritization of system strategic projects.
Co-Chair for the Project, Program and Portfolio Management (PPPM) Community of Practice which pulled together representatives from across the system impacted or have a stake in the PPPM Domain.
Educated team in continuing professional development skills, including Agile/Scrum methodology which led to 12 members of the team becoming certified scrum masters.
Implemented team standards that aligned Project Management Institute (PMI) and St. Luke’s system standards.
Project Manager – Ambulatory
IHT - Epic Applications Department 08/2015 – 09/2017
Led implementation of Epic EHR to over 200 ambulatory locations across the Health System.
Facilitated the Ambulatory Provider’s Workgroup which provided governance oversight for all EHR changes that would impact broad clinical use, as well as for specialty specific optimization needs.
Implemented E-Prescribing for Controlled Substances for Pharmacy, meeting all of the DEA requirements.
Stanford Children’s Health
A provider network of 60+ clinics across the San Francisco Bay Area, aligned with the Lucile Packard Stanford Children’s Hospital and Stanford’s School of Medicine, providing care for children and expectant mothers in their communities.
IS Application Manager – Ambulatory 02/2013 – 07/2015
Hired and managed a team of eight information and infrastructure professionals (both FTEs and Consultants) who implemented, supported and optimized multiple Electronic Health Record systems (eClinicalWorks, Cerner and Epic).
Directed the implementation of the Epic EHR for all practices across the network and led the team in establishing post go live production support processes and optimization workgroups.
Managed the onboarding of new practices into the clinic network when they are acquired.
Kaiser Permanente (KP), Northern California (NCAL)
A large nationally managed care consortium, with operations in eight state regional organizations. In Northern California there are 237 service locations which extend from Fresno to Santa Rosa.

Redwood City KP Medical Center 09/2011 – 02/2013
Implemented four Physician/MA focused projects in the Internal Medicine department that improved both team productivity and patient satisfaction.
Implemented outpatient sedated procedure room optimization changes, which included installation of EPIC Inpatient procedure tools and moving all nursing documentation from paper into the EHR.
Implemented the ‘I Saved a Life’ program, using analytical data to determine, and honor, the staff who proactively booked a mammogram appointment for a woman who was later then diagnosed with breast cancer.

Regional KP HealthConnect (Epic) Department 05/2010 – 09/2011
Co-chaired with Medical Director for Pharmacy the regional physician/IT/Pharmacy Operations workgroup which addressed medication related EHR issues, and implementation of multiple EHR and/or workflow solutions.
Directed the implementation of a Pathology Specimen Tracking Packing List that improved the reconciliation of specimens before transport and resulted in a region wide zero incidence rating.

Managed the regional EHR build requests, and build documents, for the Pharmacy Anticoagulation, Home Infusion and Medication Therapy Management programs.

KP HealthConnect - Regional EHR Implementation Team 09/2007 – 09/2008
Managed a highly successful, and appreciated, team of 12 Business Application Coordinators during the implementation of EPIC Care within eight specialty departments at the Santa Clara KP Medical Center.
Served as the initial engagement point person with department physicians, managers and staff to begin the change management process and capture all clinical workflows in the department.
In this role through to the completion of implementing Epic EHR across the NCAL region.
