● Provide guidance, direction and support for the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) team. The Single Point of Contact specialist is the central point of contact for borrowers who have applied for an alternative to foreclosure/repossession program or who are in the foreclosure or repossession process.

● Reviews and validates the decisions made by the Loss Mitigation Underwriting team and negotiates agreeable terms with the borrower.

● Responsible for communication with the borrower. Responsible for monitoring retention plans and coordinating efforts of Collections, Foreclosure/Repo, and Consumer Collections.

● Responsible for assisting the borrower in making the transition from home ownership in the event they do not qualify for any retention options. Educates the borrower on the foreclosure process and what options and programs would be available that could ease that transition.

• Responsible for reviewing in coming loan assistance applications, review for accuracy and enter information in the Appro system for the underwriter’s decision. Upon underwriters approval decision with trial payments, complete a monetary form and send funds to our processing department.

• Order and review Titles, Flood Determinations, Homeowners and Flood Insurance for all states in BBVA Compass footprint.

• Prepare a Mortgage Modification request form and send information to a BBVA Compass approved Attorney

Attorney's office for the preparation of a Modification Agreement. Once received and reviewed a closing is scheduled with a BBVA Compass Branch Representative and returned for processing of the documents to send to our Loan Operation Department, which includes entering information in a Forbearance database that generates a set-up sheet, gathering required documents needed for post- closing and compliance.

• Assist and train co-worker on current changes and procedures forbearance/loss mitigation underwriters. Comply with compliance and guidelines required by BBVA Compass Bank and CFPB.
