Wateen Telecom is a converged communication services provider that fulfills connectivity requirements for organizations and individuals in Pakistan It provides telecommunication and Data services, including Long Distance and International (LDI), Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) & Telecom Infrastructure, Hybrid Fiber & Cable (HFC) and VSAT Services, that make it the most comprehensive provider for all the Pakistan’s communication necessities Responsibilities included:

1.1 Key Account Manager Warid/Jazz, Telenor & CMPAK VSAT Projects in Pakistan Served as Key Account Manager for Warid/Jazz, CMPAK, Telenor and Enterprise customers and was responsible for complete Installation and Commissioning/Integration and O&M of C-band and Ku-band VSAT links operating on different satellites e.g, Azerspace-1 @ 46 deg E, Yamal-601 @ 49 deg E, NSS-12 @ 57 deg E, ST-2 @ 88 deg E, Chinasat-15 @ 51.5 deg E, Intelsat-33e @ 60 deg E, CS-10 @ 110.5 deg E, IS-17 @ 66 deg E, Express AM-1 @ 40 deg. The first site was b/w Pakistan and Abu Dhabi (VSAT SCPC Terminal for GSM backhauling for a micro BTS of just 01 TRX in Abu Dhabi before the commercial lunch of Warid Pakistan): The project included:

• Installation and Commissioning of Ku-band Vertex 6.3 meter and also 3.8 m linear feed Antennas, 150 W Advantech Block Up-Converter, Norsat LNBs and C-band 6.1 m with 1000 W Advantech Block Up-Converter and NJS LNBs with complete redundancy, Comtech CDM-625 and Qxl Satellite Modems, Memotec Optimizers CX-U1240, CX-U1220, CX-U1010, Cisco Optimizer MWR-2941 alongwith RF controllers, IF & Power Dividers

Installation of VSAT links at Remote Sites for BTS—BSC Connectivity:

• Planning, commissioning and managing VSAT links for the provision of backhaul transmission media for different Cellular clients like Warid Telecom, Telenor and CMPAK.

• Planning, patching and testing of local terrestrial media for VSAT links.

• Uplink Access Testing with the Satellite Operator for Quality Transmission

• Frequency planning for all Hub and remote sites

• Installation and Commissioning of Spacestar 4.8 meter circular feed HUB Antenna, 200 W C-band Terrasat Block Up-Converter with redundancy, NJR Low Noise Block Down Converter with redundancy, Comtech CDM 625 and Comtech Qxl double talk Carrier-n-Carrier satellite modems and integration on the Veraz DCME compression equipment along with IF & Power Dividers system. Planning/Installation and Commissioning/Integration and O&M of Express AM-1 @ 40 degree East and ABS-7 @ 116 degree East Satellites Ku-band Earth Station for SCPC Hub functionality for GSM backhauling for Roshan telecom Afghanistan:

The project included:

• Frequency planning for all Hub and remote sites

• Re-pointing and Commissioning of Vertex 6.3 meter linear feed Antennas from Eutelsat W6 to Express AM-1 satellite for the purpose of satellite migration of 25 remote VSAT sites. 6.3 meter HUB integrated with 750 W Ku-band Vertex High power Amplifier and LNB and Comtech CDM625 and Comtech Qxl satellite modems from 1 to 4 E1s along with IF & Power Dividers and RF controller for backhauling BTS sites with different configuration from 4 TRXs to 24 TRXs.

• The HUB is providing BTS-BSC backhauling for 25 different remotes BTS sites all around Afghanistan. 1.3 Achievements: Warid Congo – Brazzaville Republic of Congo Jan 2008 to June 2009

Planning/Installation and Commissioning/Integration and O&M of Intelsat 901 @ 342 degree East C-band Satellite Earth Station for SCPC Hub functionality for International Gateway for voice and Internet traffic for Warid Congo: The project included:

• Installation and Commissioning of Vertex 4.8 meter circular feed Antenna, 200 W C-band Mitech Block Up- Converter with redundancy, NJR Low Noise Block Down Converter with redundancy, Comtech EF-Data CDM 600-L satellite modems with Comtech CRS-150 switch for redundancy and integration on the Veraz DCME equipment along with IF & Power Dividers and Mitech Indoor redundancy controller unit.

• The International GW carrying all the voice traffic for Warid Congo and also providing Internet traffic. Planning/Installation and Commissioning/Integration and O&M of ABS-1 @ 75 degree East C-band Satellite Earth Stations for SCPC Hub functionality b/w Brazzaville and Pointe Noire in Republic of Congo for backbone Inter MSC GSM traffic and IT link for Warid Congo: The project included:

• Installation and Commissioning of Vertex 4.8 meter linear feed Antennas both the Brazzaville and Pointe Noire. Both HUB antennas are integrated with 300 W C-band Mitech Block Up-Converter, NJR Low Noise Block Down Converter, Quad E-1s STM NGN-9403 satellite modems along with IF & Power Dividers and RF controller both the Brazzaville and Pointe Noire. Planning/Installation and Commissioning/Integration and O&M of Eutelsat W3A @ 7 degree East Ku-band Satellite Earth Station for SCPC Hub functionality for GSM BTS backhauling for Warid Congo: The project included:

• Installation and Commissioning of Vertex 4.8 meter linear feed Antenna, 150 W Ku-band Mitech Block Up- Converter, Norsat Low Noise Block Down Converter, Quad E-1s STM NGN-9403 satellite modems along with IF & Power Dividers and RF controller in Brazzaville with channelized E-1 for providing the backhauling to the BTS sites with different configuration from 4 TRXs to 12 TRXs.

• The HUB is providing BTS-BSC backhauling for 15 different remotes BTS sites all around Republic of Congo. 2. STM Networks USA

STM is a global telecommunications group of companies headquartered in California, USA specializing in VSAT and Wireless products and services for Broadband, VoIP, Rural Telephony and Cellular solutions. STM has offices in US, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East along with a number of channel partners worldwide.

Worked as field engineer for Asia region and responsible for Installation, Integration of VSAT links for GSM Backhauling and data communication.

3. Supernet Limited

March 1998 – March 2005

Supernet is of the leading data network operator (DNO) in Pakistan, providing services for WAN(Internet, Frame Relay, VSAT SCPC, TDM/TDMA), MAN(Leased Lines, Terrestrial Microwave links). Frame-Relay Network

• Supernet Frame-Relay Network comprises of various nodes (Newbridge Mainstreet 3600 with Frame Relay Engine Cards) at different cities with variable bandwidths at Optic Fiber backed up by VSAT links.

• Worked as a team member of Supernet Frame-Relay network. Responsible for designing, planning FR network, configuring core FR switches, congestion management, routing and FRAD configuration.

• Planned and managed the Installation infrastructure (sites, layouts, arranged & deployed last mile solutions for customers) and developed, implemented the operating procedures.

• Independently configured point to point and point to Multipoint Permanent Virtual circuits (PVCs) in Hub & Spoke topology for various Frame-Relay customers include banks, MNC running IP/IPX.

• Installed, configured and commissioned Frame-relay over Optic Fiber and Frame Relay over VSAT. Multiplexers:
