ADVANCED SERVICES / Architect - DATA CENTER / ENTERPRISE / SECURITY PROJECTS (ENTERPRISE AND ISP) 2005 - Present High profile clients – through own corporate office PACI / ONS Client Base – Mass (University - UMASS) - Global / Solutions Network Architect. Support the client in various architecture / design of their networks. Core: consisted of Juniper MX Series (MPLS / BGP – PE Core), DC: QFX Spines / Leafs; QFX10k, QFX5k and Servers / Aggregate Bond (DC Enterprise), EX Series (Aggregate to cores serving base switching for clients services access – wired and wireless), MIST – Wireless Desing / Review with MIST Edge Tunnels from the core.

• Project 1: Complete network discovery / assessment of all INFRA and core network elements MX, QFX, and Firewall / Palo. Developed the HLD and use for further assessment, troubleshooting, migration, network changes by all various UMASS personnel.

/ comcast to the new umassnet IPv6 architecture / design. Conducted / reviewed all IPv6 proposed configs including protect-RE / control plane, IPv6 scheme and default routing with the architecture team. Goal to have umassnet the new ISP for UMASS.

• OTHER: Support the client in other network architecture, designs, issues as relate to DHCP / IRB config with / without EVPN feature, VRF Configuration (hub and spoke), etc... Work with Juniper Account Team / JTAC and all escalations and resolutions. Client Base – Chicago (TransUnion) - Global / Solutions Network Architect – Senior Advisor. Support the client in various architecture / design of their intend to migrate to the Cloud with AWS. The project aspects consisted of keys sections 1) Zoom-in and define all network elements that belong to a given AWS Ingress / Egress Architecture 2) Address all Security compliance for all parties to attend to with Network Engineering and Architecture as the lead.

• Project 1: Orchestrate the complete network design of the planned AWS architecture (Ingress and Egress VPC) with the AWS PS team. Engaged with all TU network engineering resources and advisory team in producing the HLD for each of the project phase “Brazil Betta”. The outcome was a table “wiki” oriented / knowledge base of the AWS components / features and architecture (EC2, Route 53, VPC, TGW, Security Groups, ELB, Security VPC / Integration with Palo). Other Advanced features were validated Auto-Scaling ELB and PALO. Develop the master MOP to engage eight key organizations and communicated all specifics / received feedback from all directors and VPs.

• Project 2: Develop the master test plan (wiki) and engage all key organization in the acceptance / execution (Networks, Security, AWS / PS, Application Architects, Online Test Users, and Senior Director of Brazil Betta Engagement). Latency, Peformance, and Users scaling were measured (Iperf, JMeter)

• Project 3: A critical part of the above deliverable, enagage with key network and security personnel in reviewing the proposed architecture and ensure to address all business national and international security and compliance requirements covering: SOC2, PCI-DSS, and ISO as initial. 73 Security Controls were identified with Security and InfoSec, where the network team took the lead in addressing such compliance. Develop the master excel sheet, with data / strategy specifics and direction on how to address in the new AWS / TU Busines Network Architecture.

• Project 4: Provide and Assess current on prem-DC design and developed an HLD to bring-in SDWAN to the DC-On prem and to the Cloud AWS.

Champion a major Cisco iOS 7k to Nexus Spines (9508) Leaf (93180). Architecture multitenancy. • Project 1: Major assessment / planning with client engineering and management team on this Cisco iOS 7k to Nexus Next Generation Spines Leaf architecture. Orchestrated the whole effort, leading all resources engineering and management into supporting this major network change. Developed the necessary Architecture (before and after), MOP for approval, Activities List, Ports-Mapping. Executed many dry runs with the client using ACI / DCNM to build fabric with Micro-Segmentation, VLANs, LAGs, VPC, Port-Channels, VTEP/VXLAN, EVPN/ MPLS, Spines / Leafs. Ensure the change goes faultless. Assess and review Palo Alto configuration, interfaces, Redundancy Failover Palo Active / Passive with the Fabric. Corrected the client FW design. Total success in over a 24 hours window change migration. Received well by all management and executives (vendor and client).

• Project 2: Major assessment / review (after the fact) of Nexus Data Broker solution prior offered to the client with inaccurate recommendation for a design. Deep dive on the solution, concluded in a “new” Solution Architecture / HLD proven to work by working close with the vendor Marketing and Business Unit. A Multi-Switch architecture designed to Tap traffic from production network onto the NDB switches for network analysis, and send to the endpoint ExtraHop devices. Articulate, develop MOP, Scripts, NDB Connections Tables, Activities List to drive the next planned network changes.

• Project 3: SD-WAN for Home Depot store. Assess the solution, with 5 different paths to ensure business network continuity. Architecture supports DMVPN (1101), Store switch (vCSR 1000), LITE, Broadband, Satellite, and MPLS (AT&T) / ELP. The SD-WAN solution provides interconnect to Cisco Data Center subsystems vEdge, vManage /vSmart –DC (QoS / Classification). Develop HLD to help spec out the solution. • This technology / data center / training / deployment consist of firewalls (Juniper SRX clusters), MX480/MX240 (Core routers – BGP/MPLS- L3VPN, Multicast PIM), Qfabric 3000-G / Qfabric 3000-M, Arista / Nexus for Layer 2 / aggregate connections, Citrix (Load Balancers), McAfee, and Cisco ASR for firewall / facing Internet. • Develop a master MOP (Method of Procedure) with all the necessary details including knowledge base for each technology to help educate the new engineers on this Next Generation Network Architecture and execute accordingly on the build process. • Assisted the team in areas of network discovery and readiness, using all client specifics (such as Cable layout, SITE specific IP address space, vlans, zones / logical systems, OOB) to deploy the data center in a team approach (UBS / Juniper and ATT).
