Development Engineer ll - The University of the West Indies, St Augustine June 2019 - July 2022

• Developed Angular front-end apps which improved student performances in Communication Systems I and Transmission Systems courses. These apps were stylized using Angular material and deployed in Amazon Web Service S3 bucket. Plots were done using Plotly.js. Routing data was obtained from OSRM API (Open Source Routing Machine). Map data was obtained from OpenStreetMap and Mapbox. SPLAT! (RF Signal Propagation, Loss, And Terrain analysis tool) source code written in C++ was converted to Angular to obtain elevation data. The 3D globe was done using CesiumJS. All apps were built using Visual Studio Code editor.

• Conducted tests on these apps to ensure that all UI components worked, as well as the calculations and plots generated were theoretically correct.

• Researched and evaluated similar telecommunication teaching tools to determine how feasible they are in terms of costs and difficulty of use.

• Delivered an online workshop on the M.E.A.N. stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, Angular, and NodeJS). Topics included creating Angular components, model, and service, building server-side application using NodeJS, handling different HTTP demands using ExpressJS, and translating objects in code to objects in MongoDB using Mongoose.

• Performed teaching duties including developing teaching materials, delivering course lectures, meeting with students and grading examinations for Communication Systems I and Transmission Systems courses. Projects

• E-Commerce website - Built using Django, Python, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Visual Studio Code editor. Three panels: Customer, Admin and Retailer Panels. Customers can register, login and add products to their cart. Admins can perform searches and apply filters for customers, retailers, and products, as well as download all orders to a CSV file. Retailers can add/update/delete products and update delivery status of orders.

• Book Review App – Fetch book data from the Open Library API. RESTful API built in the back-end using Spring Boot (Java) to facilitate user registration and login, as well as to save book data and user review to a PostgreSQL database. API was tested in Postman and the front-end UI was developed in React. Front-end was built using Visual Studio Code editor and back-end was built using IntelliJ IDE.

• Slackbot – Built in Python. This Slackbot accepts the user's birth date and calculates the user's age based on the current date. It uses the Slack API to communicate with the Slack platform.

• Pet Adoption Odoo Module – Built in Python and PyCharm IDE. This is a custom module in Odoo. This module allows you to add pet adopters and pets to the database. You can assign pets to adopters and keep track of them.

• Sta Map – Built in Android (Java) and Android Studio IDE. A classroom finding app with over 1000 downloads and 4.6 stars review on Google play app store.
