Stephen Giarratana 860-***-**** (Mississippi) August 2023 p. 2 Job history, beginning with the most recent:

May 2021 – September 2023 (plant closing):

Milwaukee Electric Tool Co.- Sr. Metrology Engineer – (this Plant being Closed, May 2023) Lead metrology engineer- key roles working daily with:

• Inspections Group – (2) Zeiss CMM Operators. Teaching them confidence using GD&T, by verifying results.

• Daily support to - Project Quality, and Supplier Quality Engineer teams for (4) new product (NPD) introductions.

• Report to Mr. Stephen Pruitt & Mr. Shane Ford, Senior Quality Managers. Key accomplishments:

• Improved working relationship (communication) between inspectors and engineers, creating positive results.

• Root-Cause discovery accomplished with quality teamwork on a main “staple” product we offered to our construction clients. Using precision measurement, we solved a ‘fit problem’ of telescoping Light mast head.

• Implemented ‘auto-destination’ which places information from several CMM machines, into the same file folder.

• Work with project design engineering team, to aid them with evaluations of tolerances and manufacturing methods. ISO-9001 standards followed to provide PPAP (production part approval process), Engineering requirements for ‘New Product Development (NPD).

Supervision of (2) CMM programmers/operators. Measurement methods in each CMM, required for consistency in product quality.

New Metrology Lab a major renovation project in CLINTON, MS. Factory project (late 2021- 2022)

• Movement/ expansion of an existing Metrology Lab, within Jackson MS factory, to freshly renovated Lab within Clinton, MS factory.

• ‘New inspections lab’ layout and coordination of CMM installation - apprx. 3000 sq.ft. workspace.

• Layout considered Functional flow of materials thru the lab, and results proven with 50% reduction in ‘turn time’.

• CMM, surface plate, Micro-height, dial indicator, thread plug/ring gage, block, pin, flat, etc. Stephen Giarratana 860-***-**** (Mississippi) March 2023 p.3 May 2018 – April 2021

Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control Sr. Quality Engineer Camden, Arkansas

• Lead Quality Engineer to coordinate machine shop efforts - manufacturing quality, with the inspection accuracy during CMM inspections. Steel and aluminum operations- milling & turning of large steel fixtures.,

• Teacher level, for Q.E. interns and Jr. QE: how to effectively use of GD&T, by understanding the design intent.

• FAI Report- documents preparation, ‘bubbled drawings’ creation with HighIQ software, and DISCUS.

• Adherence with AS9100;

• Reported to Quality manager, has left the company.

• Voluntary departure- A better opportunity at Milwaukee Electric Tool Co., above.

• Security clearance with US Government – active.

Key accomplishments:

• Coordinated an SPC ‘large data’ effort with (2) JMP statistics engineers. providing ‘standard benchmark’ to EVALUATE machining capability on a ‘qualitative’ level. This was for all parts machined during the several years prior to date of our analysis, in 2020.

• All parts, all features measured, created a dbase of 550,000 measurements.

• We created proper segregation of data, by CNC, Part-batch no., Operator, Shift, etc.

• Led the team, to capture variable ‘sublot’ sizes- because they must match actual sub-lot size for reliable Cpk and Ppk presentation.

• Demonstrated machine-center capability, using identical tolerances- across all measured features across all CNC machines. With this normalized capability study, Mfg. and Industrial Engineers were able to see which machines were less stable, to be repaired or replaced.

• Employed APC “Laser Tracker”, to provide inspectors and QE’s the ability to measure large steel beams for Himars truck frame components. Solved a major discrepancy which prior to this method, created NCMR of an otherwise good product. Savings to supplier -hundreds of thousands of dollars.

• Managed Calibration of hundreds of tools working with metrology lab technicians, interfaced with (in house) Calibration team. Improved ‘Fixture Availability’ by offsetting calibration due dates, to minimize ‘bottle-neck’ of needed fixtures on the manufacturing shop floor. Stephen Giarratana 860-***-**** (Mississippi) March 2023 p.4 2016 - 2018

HANWHA Aerospace (layoff at plant, prior to buyout by Hanwha Aero.) Sr. Quality Engineer This company, formerly EDAC Technologies, Inc. -

Newington, CT.

• Created central data repository for 11 CMMs measurements output data.

• Manager of Admin settings for all CMMs in the facility.

• SPC manager/ point of contact, for all machining operations (aircraft engine large parts).

• Manager for Quality Alarm triggers (emails sent to quality and design engineers), Key accomplishments:

• Created an ‘automatic quality response system’, using Microsoft Outlook (email) ‘Rules’.

• Weekly presentations meeting for NPI (new part introduction) to provide customers (in-person) feedback of the progress on their latest projects. Confidence building with normal data and variable (data driven) Control Limits.

• Improved “machining OP-steps” quality improvements (by aligning quality inspections with OP- steps for early detection of key feature/characteristics.

• Created an excel shared file called ‘PDNS’ for part deviation Root-Cause, anticipated CA, and verified Corrective Action.

• Primary response team participant/ for significant quality alarms on shop floor. ‘SWAT’ team of 6-8 manager/ leads.

Stephen Giarratana 860-***-**** (Mississippi) March 2023 p.5 Click-Bond Aerospace Fasteners - Quality Engineer

This company manufactures high precision, deep drawn eyelet ‘sleeves’ A-286 aircraft stainless steel.

Key accomplishments:

• Technical lead - using CMM precision measures capability, added the ability qualify new tooling or re-conditioned tools after they were worked on by in-house tool makers.
