I was an order picker. I would pick orders up to 114 cases. I know the patterns on how to stack the pallet, I have experienced in the warehouse with the sit down forklift and the order picker. I’ve dealt with scanners, how to multitask with scanning the orders, picking the right product, and stacking the boxes properly up to 56 cases on a pallet.I would try and clean as I’m moving through, keep everything neat. The position I was assigned is a sorter. As a sort at Lead Point we would sort out all kinds of trash up to: heavy metal, wood, rubbers, recycle papers, can, bottles and etc. The trash would get loaded onto the conveyor belts that are about 2 feet wide and off to get sorted. There are different containers beside you, one for metals, woods, cans and etc. At Lead Point it was hard to maintain a clean area. So for my down time I would do a little maintenance around my area and then look around the warehouse to see what else may need to get done. There were trash can bins filled with heavy metals. I would lift up all the heavy metals inside the bins and dump them into the big containers where everything are separate. Metals with metals, woods with woods and etc.
