Semester Internship three semesters total.
Semester one and two Adept robot with like controller not responsive to programming.
Semester One: Mechanical: rerouting of wiring for gantry robot, pin-out of components and controller, write prints for system, fabrication of hand assembly to allow for reach outside of crash zone, extend safety barriers to accommodate for extended reach and general systems troubleshooting at board level for controller.
Semester Two: troubleshoot PC program to establish connection, fix issue in virtual drive renaming, program controller with proper interlocks between two robot cells, loading gantry robot being fixed by another team and conveyance between stations, three phase drive motor replacement, Program logic in V++ (Adept system that uses Cartesian coordinates, hand position, If Then and For While statements) and troubleshoot functionality for release
Semester Three: FANUC robot and three axes milling unit.
Rebuild of servo for second axis, Rebuilding and replacing components for milling machine, pin-out on milling machine to replace old motor controllers with a safety interlock relay with VFD system for more precise control.
