I was raised on a large farming operation in North LA. I worked in various positions on the farm. My parents also operated a Fee/Seed/ Chemical Retail Store in Forest, LA. I grew up working in the store doing various jobs. I graduated from Forest High School with Honors in 1977. I enrolled at Welch College in Nashville, TN in 1980. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.67 in 1984. I started Graduate School at University of Louisiana at Monroe, LA and graduated with my Master’s Plus in 2005 with a GPA of 4.0. I received National Board Certification in Special Education in 2007. I spent 26 years teaching Special Education in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
