$150MM Bank under a letter from the OCC. Led the lending staff in cleaning up the portfolio, collections, classifications, and establishing new loan policies and procedures. As a result, classified assets fell from 133% reduced to 60%. Member of ALCO committee and Compliance committee. Managed a personal portfolio of $40MM of all types of credits, including Ag and participations.

Chief Credit Officer

$600M size bank under a letter from the OCC. Instituted new loan policies and collection procedures. Reduced classified assets from 120% of capital to 65% in six months. Bank rating increased by OCC. Managed a staff of 17, including credit analysts, loan officers, loan docs, operations, SAG, and cash management. Approved all credits from $250M to $10MM. Member of the senior management committee, CRA, Compliance, and ALCO. In charge of BSA/AML function of the Bank and certified BSA/AML. Managed a $20MM ag portfolio. Also, the SVP of the Leasing Company for the Bank included the approval of leases for the leasing operation. Implemented stress testing for the portfolio to flow to the ALLL reserve. Carried a loan portfolio of $20MM.

FDIC, West Des Moines, IA 1/11 – 1/13

Loan Review Specialist and Compliance

Two-year contract. Assist examiners in bank exams dealing with complex loan situations. Evaluate, classify, do FASB 114 impairments and evaluate the ALLL reserve. In addition, we examined Bank's cash management programs and liquidity. Test compliance with BSA/AML, UDAAP. Worked as an asset manager who supervised other LRSs and examiners to establish loan classifications, meet with bank management, prepare reports, and finalize the exam report, including BSA.

On the consumer side, underwrote the end mortgage for approval under the terms of the mortgage loan process of the Bank. The end mortgage had to be approved before we could support the construction mortgage. Wrote the analysis, credit reports, documentation of income and assets, and liabilities for the end loan, which went to approval for the construction loan.

Supervised tax credit financing for the region. Originated and approved requests.

A portfolio of $26MM contains various types of commercial, construction, commercial real estate, and agricultural loans.

Led the Iowa bank by originating $13MM in new loans at the matrix required by the Bank in 2004.

Supervised three people and participated in the Loan Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.
