Professional Summary

I have worked many years in healthcare, since 1989. The last 24 years have spent in surgery working as a Surgical Technologist. Prior years were worked in Radiology, transport, and as an CNA.

Accomplishments

Although I started out taking nursing classes in college, I graduated from the Surg Tech program with a diploma. I took all the credits I had accumulated in nursing, went in search of an Associates degree. I was fortunate to only need 1 math class to acquire my AAS.

I was so fortunate to teach in the Surgical Tech program, and become the Director as well. I am very proud of the fact that I was able to emphacise the importance of our students acquiring a degree vs a diploma. I was able to do that in the program I was teaching in, and I have always been proud of that.
