• Led business development, strategic planning, sales and commercial activities in the Central and South America, North America, Europe and selected clients in APAC region. As such, delivered the following:

• Sales Strategy: Conducted analysis of the regional market to create sales strategy priorities/ opportunities for his employer (s) downstream business. Developed annual sales plan and corresponding sales budget through collaboration with executive leadership team and Global Sales VP. Increased Technip Energies, TechnipFMC and Technip business portfolio in the North/Central/ South America and European Region from US $ 1.5 million up to approximately US $ 4,500 million in about 5.0 years.

• Business Development: Developed and maintained extensive network of energy sector contacts not only in the regions under his umbrella but globally. During this tenure, the incumbent was instrumental of the growing penetration of Technip in the Brazilian, Mexican, Argentine, Chilean, Mexican, Ecuadorian, Spanish, Italian, German, Portugal, English, Russian, Dutch, other markets. Led Technip strategy and defined/captured corresponding business development opportunities-e.g.: further acquisitions or alliances to extend Technip offerings and geographic footprint to achieve corporate goals. Main responsibilities comprised: Project Director of 455 KMTY Grassroots PDH Plant for Braskem-Pequiven in Venezuela; Senior Project Manager for Copesul Ethylene units in Brazil, Senior Project Manager for Delta-T Ethanol plants in USA and Canada, Senior Plant Services Manager for various jobs in refining and petrochemicals, Principal Technology leader for an assessment of Irving Oil refinery assets in St. John Canada, Project Manager of a Conceptual Engineering Study and BEP for a new Topping/Vacuum unit for ENAP Chile, Project Manager of a grass-roots ULSD unit at a Valero refinery in USA and Project Manager of a grass-roots Ethanol plant for GeoNet Fuels in St. Croix.

Senior Project Advisor PDVSA's Petrochemical Arm

(Pequiven). 1995-1999.

Responsible, at Corporate level, for plants performance assessment and identification of opportunities for process, production and operation improvements, projects definition and their execution, projects planning and scheduling, implementation and updating of project procedures, projects auditing, definition and control of projects budget, projects cost control, projects staffing, training of project engineers, operational and safety audits of plants, liaison with licensors and technology suppliers, process technology selection and its implementation, negotiation, custody and follow-up of technology agreements. During his tenure granted technical assistance to several successful world scale projects carried out in the new ammonia and urea plants erected by FERTINITRO in Jose, Eastern Venezuela; the methanol plants operated by JV’s METOR and SUPERMETANOL in the same site, LNG, ethylene, chlorine and PVC plants operated by Pequiven in El Tablazo, Western Venezuela, as well as the Paraguana Refining Center operated by PDVSA in NW Venezuela.

Technical leader of task-force Chevron Phillips/ PDVSA that performed feasibility study to build a 750,000 MTY EB- Styrene facility in Paraguana Refining Center (CRP), Venezuela. This assignment encompassed a lot of Integration of refinery and petrochemical units.

Senior Project Manager and then Plant Start up Manager PVC Plant, Pequiven. 1992-1995.

Led successfully all the activities connected with Bidding process, Contractual negotiations, Basic Design (6 months at Morrison & Knudsen-The Geon Company offices located in Cleveland, USA), Cost Estimate, Detailed Engineering

(10 months at Technipetrol offices in Rome, Italy), Construction, training of operators and engineers, Commissioning, plant Start-up and Performance Test of a 120 KMTY PVC plant erected in El Tablazo, Venezuela. Total investment

(TI) approximately 120 million US $.

London, Tokyo & Milan: Project Manager, JV’s Metor and Supermetanol. 1990-1992. Project Manager and then Start-up Manager of projects comprising two methanol plants erected in Jose, Eastern Venezuela. Responsible of all activities from Conceptual engineering throughout plant start-up and performance tests. First was 720 KMTY plant of AA grade MeOH based upon MGC technology. TI approx. 275 million US$. Spent 6 months at MHI office in Tokyo through Basic Design and Hazop Studies. Second plant, 660 KMTY of AA grade MeOH based upon Davy McKee technology. TI approx. 250 million US$. Spent 6 months at Davy McKee office in London through Basic Design and then 14 months at Snamprogetti office in Milan, Italy through EPC activities. Team leader of task-force PEQUIVEN-The Geon Company that executed an operational audit on the VCM and PVC plants located in El Tablazo.
