In the beginning of the shift we would drive the backhoes to the yard to pick up whatever materials we were gonna use for the day. I also drove the water truck for backfilling the trenches. Also as a spotter I had to measure length and depth of the trenches, also cut, lay and install water pipes, sewer pipes, waste water pipes, install service lines fittings, service saddles, digging and installing manholes, cleaning manholes.
