● Developed an application in Python that checks to see if another script needs to be run after an installation takes place.
● Helped to solve an issue that CVS Pharmacy was having with regard to POS message packets being received in the wrong order.
● Monitored MongoDB database using NoSQL to look up and log Walmart store POS-related errors.
● Pager duty: Weeklong 24-hour pager duty every 7 weeks for Walmart stores in North America during which I was required to address pages sent in by them. Required to help fix their POS-related issues as they come in.
● Designed and developed Java code for Walmart-Mexico to run shell scripts that were used to send status reports to another app periodically which then opens up ServiceNow tickets when required to.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Worked on issue tickets that had to with building new data-based custom features in Portico as well as correcting data in the databases used by the Portico and Amisys Interface applications. Worked closely with individuals that created these tickets to ensure that they got exactly what they wanted within the timeframe that they specified in their tickets. Worked with the DBA team to implement a number of these tickets.
● Pager duty: Covered 12 hours in one day of the week when I needed to acknowledge pager calls, issue-related emails and Dynatrace alerts and address them accordingly, often with bridge calls with other teams that were responsible for resolving each issue.
● Weekend installs: Required to check that certain applications would run normally after updates and installs to the overall system were carried out on weekends every so often.

● Worked with the Marketbasket team to clear up backlogged issues. This team was responsible for processing Point-of-Sale (POS) data files from Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs.
Key Accomplishments:
● Reduced backlog of POS open tickets assigned to the Marketbasket team that had to do with and kept it low (from over 200 to anywhere between 3 and 30) on a daily basis. This allowed other members of the Marketbasket team to focus more on R&D and upgrades and less on production support.
PRODUCTION SUPPORT ENGINEER Sam's Club, Bentonville, AR 11/2018 – 6/2019
Technical Scope: Teradata/DB2, SQL Developer/Oracle, Windows, UNIX/Linux, Excel, Splunk, Postman, message queues.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Monitored message queues that were used by multiple applications from multiple teams within the Sam's Club organization that allowed for the movement of electronic orders and emails. Made sure that the applications involved were working; fixed issues that arose when messages ended up in error queues.
● Worked with various teams including Business, Replenishment and EDI teams to ensure that Sam's Club suppliers received their orders in a timely manner.
● Worked with various teams including Mainframe, Business, Order Management System/Replenishment and Custom Applications to resolve issues that involved the products that they supported.
● Worked with offshore support counterparts in order to maintain a 24/7 production support cycle.
Key Accomplishments:
● Saved Sam's Club around $1.6 million in March, 2019 by helping to purge out data that had been duplicated accidentally.
● Brought multiple teams together to discuss open issues that were plaguing a number of applications; delegated them to the appropriate teams and put together a roadmap to getting them resolved.

● Authored an integrated system that transmitted Pallet Move operations from the existing GLS Legacy system to the new GLS NextGen system using trigger tables. Automated database processes using triggers and stored procedures. Worked on automating shell scripts and processes using crontab. Worked on the GLS NextGen backend service and carried out L3 support on it as well; it was written in Java 1.8.
● Worked on clearing backlogged tickets for the GLS Legacy system.
● Played an integral role in developing front- and back-end e-commerce website functionalities.
● Served as Assistant Technical Lead for the Controlled Substance Ordering System; gathered technical requirements to replace old VB6 Pharmacy Form Tracking program with a new program from a third-party vendor, determined the effect this change would have on other programs and database tables, and made the necessary modifications to ensure compatibility with the new program.
● Supported the new Yard Management System (YMS) in the final stages of development, performed testing on client hardware, and ensured successful implementation to replace the DOS-based program DCYard.
