PROBATION OFFICER MARION SUPERIOR COURT 9/16/2013- PRESENT
As a Juvenile Probation officer, I am responsible for supervising youth involved in the Court system from pre-trial through Probation. I prepare Preliminary Inquiries for pretrial cases as well as meet with youth, parents and providers once placed on probation. I prepare reports to the Court to advise of changes as well as attend Court hearings, as needed. In addition, I focus on compliance of Court orders by utilizing Evidence Based Practices, the Indiana Youth Assessment System and following established policies with regards to case management. Each year, I complete over 30 hours in training in mental health, human trafficking, motivational interviewing, substance abuse, Trauma Informed Care, etc..

As a unit secretary I was responsible for entering physician orders, organizing a 55 bed Intensive Care Unit, and assisting patient’s families. I worked closely with doctors, nurses and hospital administration to address the needs of the families to create the best environment possible. I demonstrated flexibility by being available to fill other needs as presented. I received a “Red Shoe” award twice, a recognition as an outstanding employee and a dedicated and caring staff member.
While working for IU Health, I was also a dialysis technician from 12/07-06/08. During that time, I was responsible for preparing the machines for the patients based on their specific needs, monitoring them throughout their dialysis run as well as reporting to nurses and doctors regarding each patient. All tasks required attention to detail, responsiveness, and a calm demeanor to quickly deescalate troublesome situations.
