I had several duties within the surgical center including: cleaning and sterilizing cystoscopes and surgical instruments, getting patients ready for procedures (taking vitals, taking medical history, verifying medications, running labs, drawing blood, changing or removing catheters), prepping patients inside of the procedure room for the procedure, assisting the physicians with the procedure, turning over the procedure rooms for the next patients.

Procedures done at the surgery center included: cystoscopies, vasectomies, hydrocelectomies, suprapubic tube exchanges, prostate biopsies, and bladder biopsies.

Also a performed some clerical duties like, prepping chart before the patients came in for procedures or surgeries, in charge of reviewing charts for audits, in charge of maintaining and updating OSHA protocols and reports. LATN and Interpretation Logistics

Advanced Urology/Gynecology: Clinical Process Manager (3/18/2019-7/24/2020)

• - As a Clinical Process Manager (CPM) i had to manage the flow of the clinic, from the front desk to the check out. Had to know where all patients were at all times, know they're clinical history, know what testing they needed to get done and instruct the Med- ical assistant, sonographer, and phlebotomist what to do for which patient. And also make keeping track of the time the providers are with each patients to maximise the time spent in the room.

• - I had to ask the MA to ask the pertinent questions to the patient, and then report to the MD, and as the MD reported back to me with the medical plan, and with knowledge of insurance and availability of test, coordinate the patients care accordingly, as well as put in orders for labs, send prescriptions, send referrals, send clearance requests for surgeries, schedule surgeries both in the Hospital and Surgical Centers, as needed.

• - I also worked on the floor as an MA, taking vitals, intake of clinical history, running test like urinalysis, uroflow, post void residue scan, Urocuff, EMGs, foley cather placement, replacement and removal, suprapubic tube replacement and removal, voiding trials, setting up for procedures like cystoscopies, hydrodistentions, peripheral nerve evalua- tion, vasectomies, scrotal biopsies, colposcopies, pap smears, vulvar biopsies, simple Urodynamics, endometrial biopsies, vaginoscopies.

• - Also I had to cover front desk as needed, checking in and out patients, collecting co- pays, making appointments for office visits, telehealth visits and surgery, scan documents and attached in the correct place in the patient’s chart.

• - When needed also had to assist in phlebotomy with patients with difficult venous ac- cess.

• - Also had to deal with situations with upset patients, and treat matters in the best possible way for the patient and the practice.

• - Had to keep logs of medications given in the clinic, samples given to the patients, and had to review charts after provider is done documenting, so that its complete and accurate with what happened in the office visit, making sure the right diagnosis codes and CPT codes are documented. • - I was in charge of bringing patients into the room, asking relevant information for the office visit, taking vitals, documenting in chart (eClinical Works), and then dispensing medications, braces and TENs devices, instructing front desk about follow up surgeries to be schedules, follow up visits and pertinent referrals.
