The nature of my lactation practice has derived from private persons; private practices and church outreach referrals. As a lactation consultant, I have consulted maternity patients at bedside just before delivery/ cesarean sections within the first hour of life. As a lactation instructor, I have conducted several baby clinics during the first clinic appointments; as well as, participated in community settings as an instructor facilitating classes for WIC peer counselors, community support
person to inform teen mothers on breastfeeding concerns. As keynote speaker at the Baby R US expositions and Walmart’s super store I instructed mothers on which bra to buy during pregnancy and lactation. I answered question and demonstrated the correct method on how to use a breast pumps. As a license professional Lactation Consultant, I have volunteered at the church’s community center offering lactation classes during their health fairs.
