Work Experience:

Junior Quantity Surveyor, Sahel Weatherproofing (Pvt) Ltd - Harare, Zimbabwe January 2023 – Current

Key Duties:

- Visit construction sites, take notes, photos, and prepare site inspection reports

- Measurement of areas and prepareproject statistic sheets

- Review client’s construction budget within the scope of work defined in the construction drawings and specifications

- Review soft cost budgets in terms of supporting documentation

- Review project approvals and construction schedule

- Support the Senior Cost Estimator with all estimating work functions

- Interpret plans and specifications; make the necessary calculations for the pricing of tenders

- Ensure compliance of tenders according to specifications and procedures of Construction Economics

- Prepare estimates using estimating software

- Prepare pre-qualification and/or tender submissions and present to Clients

- Assist on-site project management teams with project kick-off activities

- Review client’s/contractor’s progress claim within work in place at the construction site
