Roles & Responsibility:
Piping and Welding Inspection:
• Reports directly to the Field QC Manager or Area QC Manager.
• Inspection of all welding works at site including fabrication on shop and field.
• Monitor production welds are carried out in accordance with approved WPS.
• Ensure only qualified welders are welding at construction site.
• Report acts of negligence by fitters, welders and helper with respect to poor workmanship technique and safety. Review the quality of the work & documentation for acceptance against the projected specifications.
• Check the Fit-Up & ensured their cleanliness prior to tack welds.
• Carry out weld visual inspection of piping & pipeline.
• Review & select WPS for welder for job execution.
• Witness welder qualification as per ASME SEC IX.
• Visually inspect in-coming materials -Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel & Stainless Steel.
• Verify welding consumables such as welding electrodes, filler wires, consumable inserts, gases and fluxes.
• Ensuring the welding parameters such as welding current, voltage, per-heat and inter pass temperatures as per approved WPS and Specification.
• Preparation of inspection reports, verification of test reports and Preparation of various documents required, coordinating with Third party inspection agencies for clearance of products.

• To carry out fit up and weld visual inspection for Main line welding, Tie-in welding.
• Witnessing of weld repair activities as per client approved WPS.

• Witnessing all NDE methods carried in the activities and hardness test.
• Review of daily welding & welding pipe book.
• Review of Hydro test packages.
• Line walk and punch list preparation before hydro test.
• Witnessing of cleaning and gauging inspection.
• Witnessing hydrostatic of pipeline.
• Review of final dossier and QC documents as per ITP and client requirement. Painting Inspection:
• Undertake QC painting / coating activities in the workplace for daily basis.
• Monitor weather condition for surface preparation and painting / coating application.
• Execute Painting / coating inspection work as per company / project inspection test plan.
• To check and monitor all painting / coating related works and ensure all final products meet in accordance with company procedure, client requirement and international codes.
• Responsible for incoming coating / painting material inspection and must ensure whether these materials suits to meets the requirements of project specifications.
• Co-ordinate with the paint manufacturer technical representative on daily basis.
• Reviewing of approved Project Documents (Procedure & ITP & specification).
• Ensuring Blasting / Painting activities carried out to the company’s standards and specifications.
• Identify quality problems and non-conformity and recommend corrective and preventive actions on a continual basis.
• Inspection carried out based on RFI as per the applicable inspection Test Plan & Project Specification.
• Conduct toolbox meeting to workers regarding proper execution of painting works, housekeeping including safety matters.
• Verifying records of calibration, inspection and test equipment’s. Page 5 of 5
• Ensure that weather conditions ( Relative Humidity, Dew Point, Surface Temp & etc.) are suitable for surface preparation and paint application.
• Ensure that the surface cleanliness and surface profile of blast-cleaned surface are in accordance with the specification requirements.
• Verify the no welding is to be carried out all welding work required has been finished already.
• Verify no further painting touch-up is required.
• Record & report all inspection requirements as per ITP.
• Verification and Documents & Records.
• Guiding the project teams on the areas of improvement and the quality team to enable them to complete their tasks effectively.
• Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks
• Verifies the correct colour coding and painting
• Witnessing of Phosphate inspection as per the applicable Procedure and client Specification.
• Witnessing of Xylan & Everslik Coating inspection as per the applicable Procedure and client Specification.
NDT Inspection:
• Working activities involving NDT inspection of pipe weld joints.
• Performing visual inspection and survey on new weld joints for NDT
• Carry out MPT & DPT inspection on new weld joints for surface flaw detection.
• Carry out DPT & MPT inspection on Pad eyes & pad supports.
