SUMMARY
A teacher by profession but was hired as SMAW Instructor in a Public School in the Philippines because of my welding skills. Welding is the first skill that I was so interested to learn so I enrolled in this vocational course even before I got my degree. Due to a very low chance to be employed regularly in our place, I opted to finish my bachelor’s degree to increase my chance to be given a permanent job. Fortunately, a public school near our home gave me the position of SMAW Teacher. As a teacher, I made sure to perform properly every hands-on technique and demonstrate the proper way in operating the welding machine. Part of our lessons is about Interpreting welding process specifications, how to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment, and how to determine the weldability of materials and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment. As a teacher, I make sure that I can perform well to demonstrate the proper hands-on techniques and operations to my students.
