Duties and Responsibilities:

o Manage safety statistic reporting, track and provide regular HSE performance reporting to the dept. head. o Investigate and complete the process for close out of all accident investigation reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the regional HSE manager for promulgation to the management. o Monitor all conservation and protection programs and always maintain hygiene at facility and prepare required status reports.

o Manage communication strategies and prepare required newsletters and design and implement an efficient site safety training programs and perform investigation to eliminate all issues. o Participate in all site safety committees and analyse all job hazard activities and ensure compliance to all OSHA guidelines and perform audit on all activities. o Conduct pre-operational risk assessments on new sites and design risk mitigation measures. o Review and analyse accidents and near-miss incidents and make corrective action recommendations. o Provide input to the Leadership Team on HSE matters. o Confirm that contractors effectively implement HSE Plans and conform to terms and conditions. o Intervene and stop work for unsafe acts or conditions as needed. o Effectively communicate and interface with the Project Construction HSSE manager o Monitor performance of contractor’s site management personnel to ensure alignment with contractor’s internal HSE standards and HSE requirements.

o Ensure to Conduct the HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees. o Monitor advice and assist to ensure that safe systems of work and procedures are adhered to. o Inspect all passageways, stairs and fire exists to ensure that they are free fin obstructions and comply with the relevant legislation.

o Monitor that the respective personal protective equipment is being worn relevant to the task being performed.

o Monitoring all firefighting equipment on monthly basis and record. o Ensure that there are appropriate and sufficient safety signs in the department. o Ensure that all evacuation assembly points are maintained and contain the relevant instruction/ procedures.

o Ensure and verify actions on request for action are taken. o Inspection of all safety equipment’s such as PPE, safety harness, fire extinguishers etc. o Checking the entire safe work plan prior to commence the work. o Checking of scaffold materials before and after installation. o Maintain safety of crane and heavy equipment operators and workers. o Monitoring the necessary work permit prepared before beginning the job. o Inspection of all cranes, heavy equipment and lifting Accessories. o Conduct Safety meeting for work at height.
