SYNOPSIS

Young energetic result oriented professional offering 11 years & 11 months of experience in pipe fittings, forged steel fittings, flanges & fasteners and currently associated with JK Fitwell Private Limited, Chennai as Senior Engineer – QA/QC.

SKILLS:

Ability to interpret codes and standards.

Knowledge of ASME SEC.II, ASME SEC.V, ASME SEC.VIII, and codes related to flanges, fasteners and fittings.

Ability to interface and interact at all levels with Management and Client representative.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

1. Senior Engineer QA/QC - JK FITWELL PVT. LTD. (Apr 2022 to till date)

Preparation and maintaining of quality records like Inspection Test Plan

(ITP), Quality Control Procedures, Quality certificates as per ASME codes

& ISO requirements, PFD and compilation of QA/QC dossiers.

Interpretation of codes, standards, specifications such as quality policy, quality plan, scope of work, technical manual, specifications, procedure, standard, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), checklist, PO, manufacturer / mill / material test certificate, vendor MRIR and inspection report.

Responsible for coordination and supervision of all inspection activities such as Destructive Testing – tensile, proof load, hardness, impact, Non Destructive Testing – PT, MT, UT, spectro chemical, hydro test, PMI, visual, dimensional and coating inspections carried out in accordance with inspection plans with relative standard level of control in order to assure that requirements are met.

Ability to perform internal audits with Management Representative in various departments for proper implementation of ISO.

Liaises with Client’s representative about periodic activities and inspection schedules. Interaction with Third Party Inspection Agencies like SGS, LRA, EIL, PDIL, BVIS, TUV, etc.

Documentation maintenance of QA/QC documents including CE marking

/ ISO records, certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and observations. Responsible for the closure of Non-Conformance.

Monitor & ensure inspection activities of all lots at different stages to meet customer requirements before dispatch.

Established CE marking certification for pipe fittings in JK Fitwell Pvt. Ltd.

Handles the customer complaints regarding the documents and resolve the problems with customers.

Responsible for Indian Boiler Regulations approval for the fittings. Carried out inspection with IBR competent person and preparation of documents as per Regulation 4(g) for the fittings.

Certification renewal & calibration follow up of all in-house checking instruments and gauges.

2. Engineer QA/QC – EFTEN ENGINEERING PVT. LTD. (Jul 2011 to Mar 2022)

Perform incoming material inspection, initiate the Material Certificate Review card (MCR) and ensure the material unique identity is transferred onto the material prior to cut and maintain batch code register.

Conduct / perform mechanical testing which includes tensile (Universal Testing Machine) and hardness (Rockwell) testing.

Perform visual inspection, Magnetic Particle Test & Liquid Dye Penetrant Test on pipes, fittings, flanges or other materials where tests are requested. Have hands on experience in the wet Magnetic Particle Testing and Dye Penetrant Test method.

Prepare Non Conformance Report (NCR), Preventive Action Request

(PAR) and initiate Corrective Action for every violation and out of standard.

Carried out the customer / Third Party Inspection as per ASME, ASTM, ASNT-TC-1A codes and standards. Monitor & ensure inspection activities of all lots at different stages to meet customer requirements before dispatch.

Monitor line inspection.

Inspection of Raw material. (Visual & dimensional, verification of mill test certificates against applicable code’s specification.) Performed final inspection, check the products as per standard / approved ITP and preparation of final QA/QC documentation.

Report issues to the Manager and issue Non Conformity Report (NCRs) if any violation and out of standard for piping works for non-conforming work or processes.

Handle diverse activities simultaneously and ability to work in a matrix organization.

class

HSE (2007) at St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tuticorin with 1
