Safety and Training Clerk/Bus Driver Hiring Specialist Duties:

Responsible for full lifecycle recruiting of School Bus Drivers for 3rd largest school district in the state of Georgia

• Align with the Substitute hiring department on expectations by way of comprehensive strategy sessions, resulting in a full understanding of job responsibilities, critical skills and the competencies needed to be successful in the role.

• Attend meetings with District Managers including Special Needs to access the market landscape.

• Assist in designing hiring flyers and signs designed to attract top talent.

• Source, develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline of candidates to quickly fill openings.

• Participate in hiring events, open houses, job fairs, always positively representing DeKalb County School District

• Create and coordinate bus driver interview schedule weekly

• Manage communication process between candidate, HR and hiring manager(s), as well as documenting activities within emails and paperless applicant tracking system PATS

• Work within applicable hiring and agreement requirements.

• Attend department meetings, coordinating with Bus Driver Training Team

• Work with Public Safety Department for applicant background checks acting as liaison between the applicant and Fingerprinting department.

• Perform other duties as assigned
