I had aerial jobs and underground jobs (trenching, boring and missile) that were completed by union and non-union companies depending on location and customer requirements. My company also has a contract with Peco for many years for all make ready work. If any company wants to attach to a Peco pole. We would provide clearances for fiber optic cable to be added to the Peco owned pole. I would oversee all construction if any electrical work was needed in over to provide space for the applicant’s fiber. My company also would oversee all construction for cell antenna installations throughout all of the city of Philadelphia and just outside of Philadelphia for Peco. When a pole needed to be replaced in order to provide the required height of the customer and provide clearances from power we were responsible to apply the correct and up to date standards for power to get applied to the new Peco pole. I was responsible for hiring all of the Peco approved union contractors and ordering all material through Peco and having the material delivered to the union contractor’s place of business. I would also go through Peco to order the new poles and let them know when to have them delivered on the job location. I scheduled out the work on Peco poles and would over see all work and deal with any complaints.
