QUALIFICATIONS:

Twenty-two years’ experience in the automobile prototype trade, including: model building, pattern making, fixture building, foundry assistant, lay-ups and mold making, building and operating vac form & plastic injection molding machines. Experienced in aluminum and steel die benching, clay modeling, some aspects of CNC machining and set up (Tarus and Fanauc). I’m proficient in blueprint reading, experienced with shop tools, (calipers, height and depth gauges, micrometers and spectrometers. Experience with common shop machines (Bridgeports, boring mills, boring mills, grinders, various saws and sanders). Extensive experience in material handling (25-ton overhead crane, travel lifts, hi-lo and walk-behinds). State certified material handler license. Experienced shipping and receiving clerk, and delivery of machines and finished products to customers throughout the Metro Detroit area. Participated in multiple companies’ audits for the purposes of acquiring certification for ISO 9002.

EMPLOYMENT:

2017-2018, Mold Supervisor/CNC Machine operator, Forge Tool and Die

Day to day management and operation of their CNC and mold division. Initial duty was to set up the mold department crib and operations. Acquire a customer base. By making phone contact with potential customer sales representatives from different companies around the country. When required I was also responsible for to operate CNC machines outside of the mold division. Material handling and 25 ton overhead crane operations were required to load machines as was I also responsible for set up and operation of milling and machining of various CNC machines, including 100 inch travel tables.

2011 – 2017, Tech, Leader and Operator, Constellium (Automotive Group)

Line leader,responsible for 5 man teams during the daily process of forming and CNC machining operations on their Tesla, General Motors and BMW lines. Operations include: identifying possible safety issues before any production begins. Insuring company guidelines are being followed for proper procedure including part fixture quality checks hourly and computer data collection using the Plex system Guaranteeing quality pieces are being produced in a timely manner during each shift.

2006 – 2011, Carpenter’s Apprentice, Marsh Construction

Responsible for all preparation and set up of a safe and productive jobsite. Responsible for all tolls used and the maintenance of them Gained experience in the aspects of commercial and residential carpentry and carpentry codes, including electrical and plumbing codes. Pouring and finishing cement flooring, driveways and foundations. Installed siding, gutters and roofing. Built wood decks. Gained experience in working with the public and in customer relations.

2005 – 2006, Grinder and Foundry Assistant, RCO Engineering

Ground and benched2-ton aluminum seat molding dies after being finished from the CNC machining process. Assisted the foundry foreman in preparing sand ram kirksite forms and mods and pouring molten kirksite casting.

2000 – 2005, Pattern and Mold Maker/Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Delivery Driver, Paragon Molds Corporation

Built lay-ups, block-ups, plastic injection molds, urethane molds, mast casting hydraulic molds. Maintained plastic injection and vacuum form machines, as well as foam tooling machining from Ford Motor Company. Performed aluminum and steel die benching. foam tooling. Experience with boring and milling operations and most machining. Responsible for completed shipping and receiving invoices, delivery of machines to various customers throughout the metro Detroit area and all quality control (QS-9002) operations of the facility.

1995 – 2000, Pattern, Mold and Model Maker, Q.C. Tech

Built various pattern, models and molds, fixtures, plastic injection molding, foam tooling mast castings, mock-ups and lay-ups. Performed die benching (aluminum and steel), boring and milling operations. Tested and verified correct operations of urethane and polyurethane molds from Ford Motor Company.

1990 – 1995, Model, Pattern Builder/Foundry Assistant/ CNC Machinist, Oakley Industries

Built model block-ups, mahogany frame bases, plastic lay-ups. Operated CNC machining (Tarus and Fanauc). Assisted in Sand ram and poring kirksite mold process and castings in company’s foundry.
