Business Intelligence Executive, Ana Data Consulting - Jersey City, NJ 2000 - 2015

Ana Data Consulting provides consulting leadership for BI solutions in the enterprise.

Served as firm’s senior member responsible for directing an internal BI portfolio and ensuring technical competency of onsite teams. Led internal teams on building technologies, methodologies, and BI best practices.

Designed and architected the Clear Analytics product as an Excel add-in to simplify data access and a server component to manage access and authentication. The product was inspired by years of building bespoke self-service analytics solutions for clients suffering from bottlenecks to gaining data access.

Client Engagements:

Bank of America Merrill Lynch - Served in Senior BA role to lead development of a highly flexible reporting platform for regulatory reporting and ad-hoc analytics for liquidity risk officers. Liaised with stakeholders on solution design to meet regulatory and business requirements, contributed to rapid prototyping, and advised on technical architecture. Delivered FSA 047 / 048 regulatory reports meeting Basel BCBS 239 criteria for self-service reporting.

UBS – Technical Lead for an internationally distributed 15-member development team building a BI solution for global market risk reporting that empowered risk officers to monitor global firm-wide risk using near real-time data. The solution used VSTO and featured continuous loading multi-cube farms through to Excel Addins for dynamic reporting. The product provided significant performance increases by parallelizing runs against OLAP cube farm.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch - Architected the restructure of the Strategic Liquidity Risk Management (SLRM) to transition it from daily ingestion to continuous ingestion and implement interface enhancements to facilitate a fluid reporting and analytics environment. Transformed batch operating model to a global “follow-the-sun” 24/5 platform and enabled users to make position adjustments to data warehouse in real-time. Automated QA to increase regression test speed by 4x.

One William Street Capital Management – Lead Reporting Consultant for a startup hedge fund seeking rapid build of a position keeping and reconciliation platform. Used Microsoft Smart Client to report trade positions in real time and developed a complex three-way reconciliation report to ensure portfolio position accuracy.

Merrill Lynch – Hired and led a dynamic, multi-discipline team of 10+ developers, BA’s, and designers spanning New York, London, and India to produce, support, and expand a reporting, analytics and instruction execution framework. Wrote stored procedure to optimize collateral and identified $2bn of loanable collateral. Designed a complex vacation ‘rollover’ algorithm to roll assets over national holidays.
