I coached a jump rope team of 40 students performing short and long rope skills. Our team performed at several elementary schools in Williamson County, the Galleria Mall, and at several high school and college basketball half-time shows.

I co-organized and implemented a "field day" (Keand one day and 3rd - 5th the next) with over 30 events for students to participate in for fun and to get wet. I also auditioned and organized a school-wide talent show for grades K - 2nd and 3rd - 5th for the afternoon of field day.

I served on the Building Leadership Team for Hunters Bend representing the special area teachers and chaired the Safe and Orderly Correlate team. Our team designed a new fire drill system, helped with cafeteria concerns, car rider and bus rider arrival and dismissal, and provided monthly safety inspections of the school building and playgrounds. I also served a textbook coordinator for grades K - 2 and served as a mentor for a fellow teacher.

Organized and implemented "Parent Participation Days" in our physical education classes - these were extremely successful, and we had over 350 parents participating with their children during a physical education class during the week. Parents have joined us at the circus (a unit on juggling, balance, and tumbling activities complete with our parachutes turned into the "Big Top" in the center of the gym), cyber bowling, and jump rope activities.

Taught grades K - 5th the fundamentals of physical education. There were two full-time physical education teachers with planning and teaching taking place as a team. Co-organized and implemented a runner's club for all interested students (this club met before school and trained for a race each Spring).

I also taught a BIP class (Behavioral Intervention Program) of boys and girls, as well as a CDC class (Child Development Class - these were mainly preschool age children with some type of physical or mental disability).
