QC Audit Supervisor, Central Region, PG&E - Nine Divisions
Provided leadership for wildfire mitigation team performing a variety of support functions, utilizing 10 Qualified Electrical Workers, QEWs, to perform the following tasks. Met with teams from the Federal Monitor, California Public Utilities Commission, and PG&E management to showcase the newly founded programs.
Led QC audits of inspections performed on distribution and transmission assets using PG&E internal tracking systems. Reviewed all assigned reports before submission.
Performed circuit walks with an emphasis on locating problematic service issues. Utilized the PG&E mapping system to assign and track work completion, for various circuits throughout the PG&E service territory.
Directed Fire Investigation support to provide additional in-depth evidence of assigned assets adjacent to targeted assets.
Assisted with the buildout of a new curriculum to train new inspectors for PG&E’s Training school in Livermore, CA.
Provided support for the actual training and testing programs for new Inspection recruits.
Project Manager - PG&E (Temperature Alarm System, UG)
This project was designed to monitor Underground transformers, switches, and LBORs for PG&E to mitigate potential catastrophic failures.
Managed the Underground Temperature Alarm Device Project, TAD, which included the development of a budget, planning, scheduling, and product receiving process to ensure 100% accuracy, and maintained accuracy for distribution to the workforce, assigned locations for installation using a priority matrix agreed to with PG&E management.
Ensured all assets were working as intended at each site, and documented all appropriate installation criteria, monitored the install base for critical data, reported critical data to PG&E dispatch and management.
Provided weekly dashboards for the entire team.
Project Manager - PG&E (Temperature Alarm System, OH)
This project was designed to monitor overhead transformers for PG&E to mitigate potential catastrophic failures. Provided the EPIC team with asset analysis of 5 different suppliers for installation with a primary focus on safety and efficiency for PG&E personnel as well as planning for no customer outages. Also reviewed supplier portals to ensure the ability to monitor installed base for critical data.
Responsibilities included receiving products from suppliers, maintaining inventory control, planning, and scheduling the installation process, verifying, and requesting if permits are required for local governments and or Cal Trans, coordinating with local PG&E teams to support installs, verifying each site working accurately, monitoring site temperatures and communications, and creating dashboards for the team and management.
Performed the pilot program installations, monitoring, and related rework as requested by PG&E.
Project Manager - Y2020 Form 6 Project (PG&E)
Developed strategic plans in collaboration with PG&E leadership and monitored all reporting for accuracy. Collaborated with distribution control centers, distribution line technicians, and communication teams to prioritize project requirements when LRs were offline due to outages.
Identified 8,700 sites and 80 substations that required visits for troubleshooting.
Collaborated with PG&E dispatch teams to dispatch a team of approximately 400 trouble men to resolve each site. The project was completed within 75 days.
