Interactive React Application using CTA Ridership Database (In Progress) Spring 2023

• Application includes an interactive map of Chicago with highlighted CTA lines and stops that users will be able to interact with.

• Users can request ridership information in which they can select parameters such as specific lines and stations, an interval of dates, days of the week from the database.

• The requests from users are translated into queries that on the backend side will fetch information and displayed back to the user in a digestible manner.

Development of User Interface Prototype with a Startup idea Spring 2023

• The team was tasked with using the idea for a tech startup as a starting point for developing a usable prototype.

• Beginning with the startup’s mission as a mobile ordering application for local coffee shops we did user testing to organize ideas for key features in the application.

• Built prototypes with low and high fidelity to help with further user testing to create personas and task flows for a final picture- perfect prototype.

• Using Scala to invoke the correlated REST API Gateways to different lambda functions written in Python.

• Lambda functions accessed log files within specific S3 Buckets and processed files according to timestamps decided by user when invoked in the Scala application.

• Written in Scala using Intellij wrote an application to process batches of log files based on critical information within the log entries using Apache Hadoop and MapReduce to write corresponding mappers and reducers for the desired task.
