My current responsibilities are core banking implementation including testing of application and related customizations,
application updates, provide support to Branches and other Departments for performance upgrade and MIS development.
Implementation of Flexcube Ver. 12.0.3:
Successfully implemented Oracle Flexcube Ver. 12.0.3 in branches. My assignment included smooth implementation of
Oracle Flexcube Ver. 12.0.3 of Oracle Flexcube with respect of Core, CASA, Cash, Clearing, Remittances, Account Opening,
CIFs, SMS (Security Management System), General Ledgers etc. through active participation in different stages of the
project including:
Product Walk Through: An introduction of the system was provided by vendor through presentations on different
modules and functions Ver. 12.0.3
Requirement Analysis: Provided information regarding Products on specified product requirement sheets to the
vendor for analysis and configuration of the same in the system.
Design and Build Phase: Parameterization of Products in Flexcube. It included defining life cycle of the product in
the system including product preferences, GL (s) and accounting roles to be used, accounting entries for different
stages and charges attached with the products.
Development of Business Scenarios: Development of more than 1000 real life business scenarios for testing in
the system.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Monitoring and supervision of system based testing on the business scenarios.
User Training: Imparted training to end users during UAT, at Training Academy and hand holding during parallel
run and after going live in branches.
User Guides and Processes: Supervision of user guide preparation and processes related to Flexcube.
Review of Data Migration / Reconciliation: Participation in review of data migrated from legacy system and
daily reconciliation of the two systems during parallel run.
Handholding /Post Migration Support:
After Migration supervision of business simulation and hand holding of branch user physically in branch for smooth
implementation. Hand holding includes branch operations and balancing of branch in new banking software.
Support to Branches:
Supervise and provide support to Branches on issue related to understanding or issues for clarification/understanding.
EOD Support:
Supervision to provide support to Branches for clearance of pending transaction/task. In case of any issue report to vendor
Oracle for resolution. Also provide support in case of EOD issue. Provide L1 and L2 support of Bank.
Implementation and testing of customizations/integrations and new features:
New initiatives/discussions and Supervision of testing related to Customizations for Core Banking System as and when
required to fulfill Bank’s operational and SBP requirements;
Asaan and Asaan Remittance Account.
WHT customization for separation of GLs section wise.
WHT customization on CIF base where customer have multiple accounts in the Bank.
Restriction and validation implementation on CIF level.
ATL auto uploading for Filer and Non Filer on CIF as tax group.
Pre-mature redemption on TDR.
DE screen restriction regarding HO manual posting.
Implementation of ADC channels and products related to Flexcube.
Cash management customization in Flexcube.

My responsibilities included testing and customizations, application of updates, provide support to Branches and other
Departments for performance upgrade and MIS development.
Testing (UAT) for OBU Bahrain:
Testing (UAT) of Flexcube Ver. 11.3 for OBU Bahrain of Askari Bank Ltd related to operation i.e. CIF, CASA and DE module.
Implementation and testing of customizations with new features:
Testing of new Customizations for Core Banking System as and when required to fulfill operational and SBP requirements
like;
-Asaan Account,
-Priority Banking,
-Depositor’s Detail in case of 100K and above online transactions,
-WHT of filer and non filer etc.
Upgradation of Core Banking System (Flexcube Ver. 10.2 to 11.3):
In December 2013 successfully upgraded Oracle Flexcube Ver. 11.3 in one go for all the branches which is called “Big
Bang”.
Development of Reports:
Coordination with technical team for development of multiple reports as operational / statutory requirements.
Implementation of Flexcube Ver. 10.2:
Before upgrade of Oracle Flexcube Ver. 11.3 successfully implemented Oracle Flexcube Ver. 10.2 in more then 200
branches. My assignment included smooth implementation of Oracle Flexcube Ver. 10.2 and up gradation new version 11.3
of Oracle Flexcube with respect to operations of Retail Teller and CASA, that includes Cash, Clearing, Remittances, Bills,
Account Opening, CIFs etc. through active participation in different stages of the project including:
Products walk through.

Development of business scenarios and testing (UAT) on the same.

Branch Banking Experience in Askari Bank Limited – (March 2003 to December 2008)
I started my Banking Career as Cash Officer (Teller) from AWT Plaza Main Branch, Rawalpindi in Cash Operations. I initially
worked as Cash Officer, Operational Officer & then in capacity of Departmental Incharge, Deposits & Credits Officer.
During my services in Askari Bank, I worked in different departments & got well equipped knowledge of Operations &
Credits & was responsible for:
Handling Cash Operations.
Incharge Cancellation Department.
Overall supervision of Clearing, OBC, Salaries (Deposits) etc.
Supervision & Checking of Account Opening / Closing of all types of accounts after completion of required
formalities, Issuance of Cheque Book/ ATM to Customers, Deceased cases, Departmental activities & Vouchers.
