PHOTOGRAPHER AND YEARBOOK DESIGNER

I was responsible for all photography equipment I used, including the transportation of it, setting it up, and taking it down. I took hundreds of photos on most days. To do this in the time constraints this means directing each student and being efficient to get the best picture in a short time. I directed parent helpers, interacted with staff, filled out paperwork properly, and then delivered the finished product to Lifetouch. For the yearbook position I work on a computer and design layouts for individual schools in a timely manner.

B E N N E T W O O D S E L E M E N TA RY, OKEMOS, MI 11/2018 - 06/2018 I helped and oversaw students in both the lunchroom and at recess, making sure that they are making good choices and being safe. I also had to enforce school policies, be able to use fair judgement, and make quick decisions regarding safety. FRAMING DEPARTMENT MANAGER

MICHAELS ARTS AND CRAFTS, PORTAGE MI 1/1999 - 1/2005 I started as a senior framer for my first year, then became the manager for 5 years. I left to go back to school, but would work occasionally part time after that. During the management time period I oversaw a department of 3-8 full and part time employees. I closed the store once a week, being in charge of money and shutdown as well as overseeing staff. The work was enjoyable, creative, and I also enjoyed helping customers.
