SUMMARY OF MILITARY EXPERIENCE

William Clarke began his military career assigned to 1/144 Infantry (Mechanized), Texas Army National Guard. From November 1996 through October 1999 he held the positions of Rifle Platoon Leader, Detachment Commander, and Company Executive Officer. As a Platoon Leader and Detachment Commander he oversaw the New Equipment Training with Bradley Fighting Vehicles of two Mechanized Infantry Platoons. As an Executive Officer he completed a rotation at Joint Readiness Training Center. From April 2003 through October 2004 MAJ Clarke was assigned to the 90th Regional Readiness Group, US Army Reserve, in San Antonio, TX. He served as the Transportation Officer where he assisted in unit deployments, and as a Task Force S4 Officer for an annual training mission of over 400 soldiers. Upon a civilian employment transfer MAJ Clarke was assigned to the 164th Corps Support Group in Mesa, AZ. He served as the Group Tactical Intelligence Officer August 2005 to May 2006. In May 2006 he was selected to command the Headquarters Company. From June 2006 to September 2007 MAJ Clarke was on active duty deployed to LSA Anaconda, Balad, Iraq, as Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 164th CSG. Shortly after returning from active duty he moved to Texas and was assigned to the 319th CSSB as the Battalion Supply and Logistics Officer. At the time MAJ Clarke joined the 319th the unit had recently relocated to Harlingen, TX and was extremely short of officers. Although assigned as the S4 MAJ Clarke assumed the duties of several staff positions, as well as HHD Commander. He assisted with personnel issues, operations, and building the headquarters. While in this position he oversaw the logistical aspects of numerous missions, most notably a rotation at the National Training Center. In January of 2013 he was assigned to the 211th RSG in the S3 section as the Plans and Operations officer, he also served as the additional duty S6 for six months. In November of 2015, MAJ Clarke was assigned to the 2nd LOGCAP Battalion, Fort Belvoir, VA, as a Logistics Support Officer. In November of 2016 MAJ Clarke was selected for the position of Military Government Specialist, and assigned to the 450th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne). Following his assignment in Civil Affairs he transferred to the Directorate of Logistics, Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers located in Washington D.C.

MAJ Clarke's military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, the Bradley Fighting Vehicle Leaders Course, the Combined Logistics Captain Career Course, where he was selected for the Commandant's List, and the Operational Contract Support course.
