Peer Tutor - Paid part-time job(2021-2022)

- Tutored 3-4 High School students every day in Spanish, Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Chemistry, Ap Physics 1

- Found different teaching methods that were effective for each student and gradually made them comfortable with the subject

- Bridged the learning gap for students who can’t afford tutoring outside of school Lundquist Fellows Program (2021)

- Communicated and collaborated with 10 peer researchers to write a paper called “Filling the knowledge gap: reproductive motile ciliopathies”

- Thoroughly looked at sources and papers to pitch ideas and concepts at team meetings

- Using platforms such as Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Slides, I created a 6-minute presentation based on our paper for the heads of this Research Program.

- Wrote a program in Java to build a browser-based tool for exploring the history of word usage in English texts. Created the back-end tool of this program that accepted user input and generated appropriate output for display. LinkedListDeque/ArrayDeque

- Wrote a program in Java building a data structure similar to ALists and SSLists. This data structure is a “linear collection that supports element insertion and removal at both ends”. This interface supports capacity-restricted deques as well as those with no fixed limit size.

- Implemented object methods that demonstrate the functionality of the LinkedListDeque and the ArrayDeque programs. Awakening of Azathoth

- Wrote a program in Java where users input words. Letters are revealed as correct letters are guessed while wrong ones result in loss of lives

- Used built-in data structures such as maps, sets, and lists Ants

- Wrote an object-oriented program in Python that is user interactive and has a graphical user interface. In this game, users had to protect the queen ant from bees trying to invade their territory. Added a multiplayer functionality using dictionaries, lists, recursion, control statements, and higher-order functions in order to extend player functionality Leadership Experience
