EXPERIENCE

DUTY OPERATIONS OFFICER

•Ensuring a safe and punctual operation in accordance with company’s operations manual and operating procedure which includes monitoring the integrity of the airline flying schedule and mitigating disruptions in the flying programme.

•Maintaining an updated version of the airline’s timings which include delays, irregular routings for aircrafts, crew planning and arranging additional flights when necessary.

•Planning flights according to oceanic crossing requirements, preferred routing (for flights through the Middle east and Far east), aircraft capabilities and regulatory instructions.

•Liaising with applicable authorities and other relevant entities relevant to operational control.

•Ensuring that status checks (NOTAMS, TAF, METAR, operational flight plan (using LIDO), NAT tracks as required, sector payload, aircraft performance limitations, ATC restrictions, Permits) are completed for all trips at 24 and 4hours prior to dispatch and also ensuring that any outstanding items such as airport slots are followed up.

•Engaging in maintenance and night stop planning after confirming serviceability of aircrafts from MCC, I also advise all concerned about MEL&CDL restrictions on aircrafts.

•Co-ordinating with the crewing team to ensure day-to-day changes are captured and ensuring that these changes are reflected in flight schedules, crew hotel bookings and airport transfers.

•Providing guidance on aircraft and crew availability for charter enquiries and preparation for charter enquiries; Assisting with preparation of ad-hoc charters including liaison with all departments to confirm arrangements and arranging schedule/permits/handling/fuel/credit facilities once flights are confirmed.

•Updating flight programmes in Company’s flight scheduling system (ASL) and checking that data entries are correctly made for each flight (manual or via ACARS).

•Responsible for activating key operational procedures, e.g., Emergency Response Plan.

SENIOR OPERATIONS CONTROLLER

•Daily management and oversight of the workflow of operations controllers.

•Overall responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of the daily flying programme for the Airline Operations Team.
