Over 32 years of quality experience as an electrician and general contractor. 20 years being in some capacity of management, this which includes the last five years as a senior project manager. I ensured the projects were completed within the projected budgets and schedules. Coupled with driving a safety culture to ensure the individuals would complete each task at hand safely and with quality for them, myself the clients and company.

EXPERIENCE:

• Construction Design Inc. – Senior Project Manager: 2014 – 2022

As a Senior Project Manager, I was responsible generating schedules and ensuring they were met, material was received and stored correctly, delivered project proposal submittals, project planning and estimation, as well ensuring that the quality of work was to the client’s expectations. This meant inspection of crafts work in the field on all electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, etc. I designed and oversaw the implementation of installing 3-phase power from a single-phase system for industrial machinery. Obtained the appropriate city permits and planned the city required code inspections. Organized monthly meetings with the client for project forecast and any unexpected delays, which includes material and equipment delays. Making sure that all personal had the proper training and safe work practices this especially with my electrical jobs.

• Champion Windows & Patio Rooms of Greenville, SC – Manager: 2010 – 2014

As a Manager I interfaced with the craft and upper management to ensure that the project was meeting expectations. I dealt with the day-to-day activities that had to be completed to ensure that the project stayed on schedule. This included any training and guidance on electrical work and framing. Helping resolve any issues that arouse in relocating old electrical circuits or to install new ones. Ensured that all members of my team understood the design and the expectations of daily task. Preformed daily safety inspections of work practices and tools to ensure that no-one got injured.

• All About Homes – Owner:

1996 – 2010

Operated a business with an average of twelve employees. Utilizing excel I maintained payroll, accounts payable and receivable. Designed the layout and installed residential Genrac backup generators. Random and routine inspections of employee’s work. Negotiated and recruited subcontractors with obtaining new work, which included project proposals, planning, and estimating. With this I also obtained the appropriate city permits and set inspections for myself and subcontractors. This also included developing schedules for my employees with vacation time, sick/medical leave, and subcontractors to meet client deadlines. Budgeting funds for material and overhead, meetings with the clients and my subcontractors to ensure that all parties involved fully understood the design and expectations of the project. Crew lead of three to four employees in construction of sunrooms and vinyl siding and window installation and replacement. Relocated electrical circuits, switches, and receptacles for new wall layout. Daily pre-job briefs to go over safety topics and mitigating potential hazards, ensure that my crew knew the scope of work and to go over the action plan of steps needed to complete the daily task.

1992 – 1994

New subdivision construction which included framing and grading. While performing this work I asked questions to make sure that I fully understood my task. My lead encouraged stop work if unsure and always work safely.

I worked in new construction while performing task such as pulling electrical circuits and installing main and sub panels, fixtures, and devices, operated heavy equipment for grading, plumbing, metal work, wood and metal stud framing all within the scope of new additions and renovations.
