Spearheaded all facets of operations, sales growth, and ongoing business development for Hawaii’s leading PET plastic manufacturer for plastic containers and preforms within the beverage industry, as well as the leading EPS foam manufacturer for the packaging, aquaculture, concrete, roofing, surfboard, and shipping industries.

PRESIDENT (2003 to 2020)

Cultivated a team of results-driven management staff, developed a high-performance sales department that successfully engaged all major distribution stores across Hawaii, and established a revitalized environment centralized on productivity and quality, effectively accelerating overall sales from $2M to $18M.

Quality Control & Production Improvement: Instituted quality control procedures and best manufacturing process/standards for both divisions for all products, effectively maximizing efficiency and output production levels from 57% to 92%; finalized/implemented new quality assurance program for completion of ISO 9002.

Sales Excellence: Boosted sales per head count and drove overall sales over a four-year timeframe by 125%, an unprecedented achievement in company’s fifty-year history.

Technology Innovation & Process Improvement: Installed a broad range of new software manufacturing systems, including an MRP system for inventory control, resulting in increased turns of inventory to record levels of over twelve turns per year.

Project Management & Regulatory Compliance: Pioneered construction of a new 100,000 square foot PET production plant with new processing equipment with over $14M in new assets; governed upgrades of EPS facility to meet EPA standards.

Contract Negotiations & Program Development: Negotiated a multitude of long-term contracts with high-profile bottling companies, including Coca Cola, PepsiCo, and various water bottling companies; conceptualized, developed, and launched Co-Packaging program in the PET Water industry encompassing 15 Hawaiian Companies, in turn creating the largest Co-Packaging program in the Hawaii market.
