November 2022 – January 2023 - MI Developer – HC-One, Darlington - Remote

Sql Server analysis and development using T-Sql in SSMS, SSIS, SSRS on client’s internal databases.

The business environment was in the private healthcare/care home sector.

25h April 2022 – 3rd August 2022 - HR Systems Developer - Teesside University, Middlesbrough

This was an on-site/hybrid public sector role performing Sql Analysis and development using primarily SSRS reports in Visual Studio and T-Sql stored procedures in SSMS on an internal HR Sql Server database/iTrent System.

4th January 2022 – 31st March 2022 - Data Analyst – St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust, St Helens - Remote

Sql Server Data analysis, development and report writing using T-Sql in stored procedures and reporting services. SSRS and occasionally Power BI. The work is for the Cancer Informatics team (Cancer Pathway Data Reporting) and is concerned with sensitive and confidential patient data requiring appropriate data governance.

4th September 2020 – 30th July 2021 - Data Analyst– NHS Digital, Leeds - Remote

Sql Server Data analysis and development using SSIS packages (in Visual Studio) and T-SQL stored procedures in SSMS to transfer and manipulate sensitive medical data across the organisation and to external partners. The processes also use Python and C# scripts called from the SSIS packages. Used basic Git for version control and Databricks for data production. Working in a team of Data Managers and Assistant Data Managers reporting to a Senior Data Manager on Covid 19 specific projects. Remote working with daily Kanban stand-ups.

10th February 2020 – 7th August 2020 - Data Analyst – City of York Council, York - Remote

Working in the Business Intelligence Hub writing and maintaining SSRS reports, general T-Sql data analysis and development, some SSIS package maintenance from the HR Database – iTrent. Reports Servers administration using Excel data. Performed feedback analysis on a suite of Ward Profile Data reports written in SSRS. Client address records data cleansing using Excel including Formulas,vLookups, Macros and Pivot Tables.

June 2019 – July 2019 - Data Analyst - Virtual1, City of London

Supporting a suite of business essential SSRS/Power BI reports. Ensuring they are delivered as required for Sql Server Agent jobs, de-bugging in case of failure and some enhancements to existing reports. Some Sql work in SSMS work to correct failing jobs.

September - November 2018 - Data Analyst - Canterbury Christ Church University. (the client was attempting to recruit a salaried member of staff) –

This was a Sql server based role writing SSRS reports and performing data analysis in the early stages of a data migration.

March 2018 – May 2018 - Data Analyst - Specsavers, Whiteley, Hampshire

Data analysis and Sql Development role in a project to migrate the company’s retail database in Norway. The technical environment is MySql in both the source and target databases and the integration is being done with Pentaho.

Sept 2017 – March 2018 - - Data Analyst - London Borough of Bromley Council

Data analysis in the early stages of a data migration (Anite Oracle Housing to Orchard Sql Server Housing systems). Working with a lead Business Analyst and business users to understand the data mapping

Additionally writing Oracle Sql reports, SSIS packages and SSMS Sql server scripts to aid data clean up before migration

June 2017 – July 2017 (Six weeks) - North East Procurement Organisation in Newcastle on a known short term basis as a Data Analyst.

Data analysis and reports development in a ProContract, ProSpend and Sql Server environment. The position was covering a permanent member of staff who was on sick-leave.

December 2016 - March 2017 Data Analyst – Rambus-Ecebs, East Kilbride

Two distinct projects here

•Writing a small suite of customer specific bespoke Jaspersoft reports from an Oracle database.

•Designed and developed Pentaho Jobs and Transformations to perform an archiving and legacy data deletion exercise on an Oracle database.

August 2016 – November 2016 Data Analyst – Vianet Group PLC, Stockton-on-Tees Providing data analysis on a Sql Server database to enable a reverse engineer of data. Writing a T-Sql script that converted data stored as hex back into text files to mirror the files the data originated from (which were no longer available). Although this required some contact with various members of the business it was essentially a solo project as many of the knowledge holders were no longer at the company.

April 2016 – August 2016 Data Migration Analyst - British Engineering Services, Manchester Working on a business critical data migration project in which the source data was in a Sql Server database and the destination database is within a Microsoft Dynamics CRM system. Writing T-SQL scripts to extract the source data into Excel and tab separated files then after some transformation and data cleansing importing into the destination CRM using a mixture of Dynamics CRM own data mapping and import utilities together with SSIS packages. Writing data cleansing specification for, and liaising with, third party suppliers.

January 2016-March 2016 Sql/SSRS Analyst/Developer, Tameside College, Manchester

Working in a small team in the college’s MIS Department – principally analysing and writing T-Sql

scripts/stored procedures and SSRS reports to service the college’s bespoke reporting requirements.

The environment is Sql Server with SSMS 2014 and Visual Studio 2012 running on the college’s

ProSolution database. Additional I was asked to provide Sql mentoring to two permanent members of staff

which required writing and delivery of suitable course material.

Working directly with the I.T Manager to support the business’s reporting needs using both SSRS and Sql stored procedures, writing ad-hoc and scheduled job stored procedures to service the general operation of the business including a warehouse ‘hours worked by operative’ procedure/report, general finance and marketing programs/reports. Some creation and amendment of routine DTS packages. Adherence to Information Governance practices to respect patient confidentiality.

Amcare is a supplier of medical appliances covering both NHS prescription and private clients.

November 2014-June 2015 Sql BI Analyst/Developer, Bradford NHS Trust

Working in the Informatics team primarily analysing the reporting requirements and the reporting environment of the Cancer Services Team. The work also involves writing ad-hoc Sql Server reports for both support staff and clinicians mainly on the PPM (Patient Pathway Management) system. The technical environment is mainly Sql Server databases using Sql scripts in SSMS and SSRS reports for development. The role involves lots of user contact, with both clinical and administrative staff, to gather reports requirements. Ensuring that various mandatory cancer report submission deadlines (to PHE England chiefly) were met. Adherence to Information Governance practices to respect patient confidentiality.

June 2014 –October 2014 Data Migration Analyst/Developer, Mastek Consultancy (HSCIC Project), Leeds

Working on the NHS HSCICS Data Migration programme. Working in a team of Mastek consultants on the

client’s site my part was writing PostgreSQL functions and

Pentaho transformations across the ETL process. Daily participation in stand-ups to support the Scrum/Agile

environment.

February 2014 –May 2014 Data Analyst, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service

Working on the Service's Sql Server Incidents Database using T-SQL to write stored procedures and SSRS to

develop reports. The work is to support the Service's internal requirements as well as their statutory obligations such as Freedom of Information requests.

November 2013 –February 2014 Software Developer, Broadacres Housing Association

Analysis and T-SQL development maintenance of Sql Server stored procedures and SSRS reports. This is expected to be a short-term role helping clear a backlog of work whilst the association waits for a permanent person to start in the role. Working on the Association’s QL hosted Housing system integrating the stored procedures with their Test Centre BPM tool. Providing Sql mentoring to technical staff.
