Lead Operations Engineer for Ameren of Illinois, this role evolved as I began to work closely with my incredibly talented team. As I moved forward my focus was to guide the team and build cohesive relationships across all business lines. I had the responsibility to work closely with Security, Customer Service, Network, and Development teams to assure that my team would exceed established business requirements. I was able to effectively manage and motivate this team of IT professionals, as well as work collaboratively with other departments within the organization.

My focus was to make sure that my team had the tools, training, and resources to provide outstanding support for the people that provide services to the Ameren customer. This team has the most diverse skill set that I’ve ever worked with on an enterprise level, some responsibilities include:

I also worked to develop SCCM task sequences to install all the Customer Service applications unattended, this saved our teams hundreds of hours in setup and deployment time for all Customer Service Representatives moving to the new work from home requirement.

Lead IT Administrator

GETZ Fire Equipment Company

July 2017 – July 2019

Working as the Lead IT Administrator for GETZ Fire Equipment Co and subsidiaries, I am responsible for maintaining the enterprise environment, managing Anti-Virus solutions, Backup solutions, Server Hardware and Support, Networking, as well as setting up new and existing user computer hardware and upgrades. I report directly to the Vice President and all issues are resolved and escalated with mutual consideration from both of us.

oI maintain and update Kaspersky Security Center 10/11 for the enterprise Anti-Virus solution. I have upgraded the software and deployed it to all servers and approximately 150 workstations. I am responsible for setting and updating policies across various departments as well as maintaining the network agent connectivity for new virus definition deployment.

oUpdate and maintain/troubleshoot StorageCraft backup solution for all Windows Servers in the enterprise. Monitor and verify backup chains are complete and that disk space is optimized on the primary/secondary NAS devices.

oManually updated over 150 workstations from Windows 7 and 8.1 to Windows 10 and successfully migrated the entire infrastructure before end of support for Windows 7.

oSetup VMware Workstation on numerous computers for fire alarm technicians that needed to have Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 available to perform maintenance on older/newer fire alarm systems. This involved setting up two additional Virtual Machines (VM’s) on each computer and configuring the network adapter(s) to connect with the outdated software running on the older alarm systems. The technicians had previously been forced to have three computers available and assigned to them to perform their jobs successfully.

Since joining this organization, I have been given the opportunity to help move the enterprise forward from on-Premise/Hybrid Exchange to O365 Enterprise solutions and support. I have been afforded the opportunity to develop my Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory skills, as well as, honing my knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 setup and support, PowerShell and AD Policy Management.

oCompleted the manual migration of mailboxes of terminated employees to O365 utilizing the Exchange Admin Center.

oSetup Azure Active Sync to only sync with designated AD Groups and OU’s deemed necessary for O365 deployment.

oMaintain our on-premise Active Directory as well as O365 Admin Center.

oMake sure that all current mailboxes are secured with Multi-Factor-Authentication.

oMoved all users’ personal files from the My Documents folder to OneDrive to make sure that all documentation was maintained in O365.

oAssisted in the Migration of over 10 TB’s of data from our on premise file server to SharePoint online and trained users on the use of OneDrive and how to navigate SharePoint. Prior to migration I needed to reduce the file size for all files on the existing file server due to the URL size limitations that exist within SharePoint for all Excel files.

oAssisted in the creation of SharePoint Sites, Sub-Sites and Document Libraries.

oDeployed Microsoft Teams to all users in the organization and trained them on its use and how it would replace Skype for all online meetings.

oDeployed O365 to all workstations and configured it for all users in the organization via O365 online.

oCreated generic mailboxes and calendars for use by various departments and converted numerous mailboxes to shared mailboxes within the organization.

oTroubleshoot all email delivery failures to determine a root cause and correct on our end if necessary or reach out to the receiving domain to add us to their safe sender list.

I was also responsible for setting up all Enterprise mobile devices with Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams & O365 if necessary. These devices include various Android, IOS, Surface Pro & IPad’s, I am responsible for making sure the applications are functioning as they should and troubleshooting failures. I have also needed to create multiple calendars for various teams across the organization and validate the functionality across the devices. All devices are manually configured, and the applications are installed from the appropriate app store and remote access troubleshooting is done through the TeamViewer client.

in the migration of 26,000 state employees to Microsoft Office 365. I assisted the project

manager in setting up the deployment groups and schedule, also helped to define the SCCM

processes that needed to be established for success. This was a short-term role to make sure the

State established the guidelines for success.
