PROJECT
Malware Analysis
The Malware analysis lab is focused on the techniques used by cybercriminals to develop and deploy malware. This lab equipped me with the knowledge to analyze and mitigate these threats. Through a combination of static and dynamic analysis techniques, I dissected malware samples, uncovering their functionalities, identifying potential vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise (IoC). I employed a range of industry-standard tools and frameworks to analyze malware, including sandboxing environments (Microsoft Edge - Window 10, Flame Virtual Machine), debuggers (x32 debuggers), disassemblers (Ghidra, IDA), Wireshark.
Network scanning and Analysis with NMAP and Wireshark
I researched the fascinating world of network scanning and analysis using powerful tools like Network Mapper (NMAP) and Wireshark (A network protocol analyzer) to gain insights into network infrastructure and security. The objective of this lab was to explore the intricacies of network reconnaissance, identify potential vulnerabilities, and gain valuable insights into network traffic patterns. This project reinforced the importance of proactive network monitoring and analysis to safeguard critical assets and protect against potential cyber threats.
