Consultant with Prairie Quest Works Lead Librarian for 12-month contract with SERO- Southern Regional Office of the National Park System. PQC Works supports U.S. federal offices for branches of the armed services, FEMA, FDA, & DHA. SERO- Librarian-Southern Regional Library Office for the National Park System, Atlanta, GA 2019-2020 LEAD LIBRARIAN AND PROJECT MANAGER

PQC was awarded a grant for reorganization of the library that had been left unmanaged for over nine years. A contract included physical rearrangement of space, weeding (now over 3,000 items), creating an organizational system for southeast section of the Cultural Resource Division of the National Park System and National Historic Landmark reports, serials, and general reference books. This project requires cataloging several thousand bibliographic records under Library of Congress point of access catalog standards,

Key Accomplishments:

● Spearheaded a weeding and restructuring initiative to enhance the library’s collection for optimal patron use.

● Collaborated with Division Chief of Museum Curation and History, internal Museum Curators, keeping in mind the needs of Landscape Architects, Historic Architects, Historians, and Archivists for culling materials, and creating finding aids for park reports.

● Composition of a library use policy, creation of self-managed circulation system

● Maintained status reports in visual and written formats

● Collaborated and supervised library cataloging librarian so that both of us were able to catalog a vast array of print materials Torah Day School of Atlanta Atlanta, Georgia SY 2018 to 2019 A private, Torah-focused educational institution serving students in grades K-8. Enhanced the library’s collection of youth materials and coordinated the summer program to enhance literacy. Key Accomplishments:

● Developed a Camtasia tutorial for accessing digital resources, including Novelist, OverDrive, World Book Online, Tumbleooks, and Scholastic Bookflix.

● Invited to a Technology Production Club to visit Turner Broadcasting with a team of students for a full day of hands-on workshops and practice behind the cameras

Research Accomplishments

Development and Validation of a Systemically Designed Unit for Online Information Literacy and its Effect on Student Performance for Internet Search Training (2005):

● Performed a study that explored three areas: the effects of textbook content conversion to web-based instruction; students’ perceptions of material that allowed for higher levels of learner control as compared to a more structured instructional model; and the design process as used to convert print material to web-based instruction. ● Concluded that provision of high learner control to high ability students proved sufficient for mastery of online course content indicating that educators should consider learner characteristics, validity of testing instruments, navigation, elaboration, and practical considerations when converting print materials to online delivery.
