Diamond Green Diesel (DGD) is a joint venture between Valero Energy Corporation (through a subsidiary) and Darling Ingredients Inc. DGD is the largest renewable producer in North America and the second largest in the world. The fuel produced at the facility reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared with traditional diesel fuel. I support the company’s capital project by working with the Valero Project Advisors and Managers to create and maintain project actuals, costs, earned value and projections; also, monitor and control project costs, validate all invoices, update purchase orders, contract values and change orders. Work alongside with the Project Managers to develop cash flows, cost related items in a monthly PSR for each of the projects AFE’s; ensure actuals and accruals are accurate each month and are audited through a monthly spending plan; submit variance justifications each month by reviewing actuals and forecasts with tracking contingency spending. Project: Entergy Nuclear Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station Refueling and Maintenance Outage Provided job cost control and planned monitoring (actual vs. planned) for the Entergy Nuclear - Waterford 3 outage; detailed and summarized project costs, man-hours and schedule updated data collection for the purpose of accurate data entry for critical paths analysis and reporting during project execution. Project Manager (Emergency Responder) - Lawrence, MA Project: Columbia Gas - Merrimack Valley Gas Disaster The three main areas of work that I supervised involved making compromised homes gas ready and house ready to be relit. I managed the installation of damaged gas lines into areas connecting to affected homes by union construction crews. Our assessment and construction teams of procurement, plumbers and electricians visited the homes to assess, repair and install new hot water heaters, boilers, furnaces, appliances and piping that had been compromised at the time of the incident.
