Systems Engineer/Trainer/Consultant

Technical liaison during the pre-sales cycle on accounts ranging from $500K - $2.5M. Led technical side of sales presentations and fielded all technical questions. Created proof-of-concept simulations instrumental in closing business.

Held training classes in the mid Atlantic area offices. Students ranged from Informix employees to clients to third party trainers. The classes taught swere:

Provided consulting services to Informix software clients. most of whom were Fortune 1000 companies. Services rendered ranged from:

- Data migration from existing systems to new installs. Most migrations included data scrubbing and database normalization to increase data integrity and reduce data storage costs

- Creating new functional modules to existing systems or subsystems. This may include database normalizations prior to implementation to increase end user productivity, decrease data storage, reduce code size and system complexity

- Create or rewrite entire systems or subsystems. This often part of a conversion to Informix products

- Various other consulting services provided to existing clients. Implement best practices to existing code and databases to improve end user productivity. Provide in-house training to employees to maximize their effectiveness in using Informix products. Document system functionality so end users fully utilize new systems and subsystems. Document source code in order to replicate best coding practice, reduce system size, eliminate similar code and increase programmer productivity Education and Training
