Traditions Health Corporate – College Station, TX Aug. 2020 to Nov. 2022

Sr. Director of Project Management Office

Created the first Project Management Office at Traditions Health the 7th largest hospice provider in the US. With extreme growth in the last 3 years it was necessary to create a fit for purpose methodology that worked efficiently and scalable while leading the organizational projects through more than 10 acquisitions. Continually driving increasing levels of PMO maturity by being compliant with all HIPPA regulations and ensuring governance, security controls and security reviews were met for each effort.

Project Portfolio & IT Change Manager

First Project Manager and Change Manager hired into an extremely fast growing and fast pace organization. Responsible for developing all project and change management programs through best practice and experience. Developed all the initial Project required documentation to begin project intake, Risk Assessment, Security Controls, Executive Summary as well as building the highly utilized Project Portfolio. This allowed Executive Leadership to understand priorities, dependencies, and cost around all inflight and pipeline efforts.

Leader of offshore development teams to architect many healthcare, compliance and organizational tools.

Managed a successful deployment of the new Traditions Health Intranet Portal.

Rapidly worked to build a COVID-19 screening module into the portal for all employees across the organization to meet compliance requirements. This provided quick acknowledgement via laptop or phone if employees where a risk to others prior to them entering branch offices or engaging patients in their home. The project was brought in ahead of schedule which got employees back onsite and care providers back in front of patients ahead of schedule.

Successfully architected process workflows to build out the IT Change Management Portal that increased oversight and accountability for IT changes. Allowed for comprehensive audits that aligned with the organization security and compliance policies.

Lead the development of an HR On-Boarding and Off-Boarding Module in SharePoint allowing new employees to be entered and scheduled for pre-employment task tracking. Executive Leadership and Hiring Managers would have the ability to track and monitor progress of their newly hired candidates.

Built the first Role Based Standards Database leveraged for employee onboarding to inform IT of all HW/SW/DL with profiles for each to be assigned to each new employee based on job role.

Lead project development of the organizations first QAPI (Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement) Tool for patient care audits. This was built to measure audit compliance for state and federal mandates associated to patient care in Hospice and Home Health.

Ascension Technologies, St. Louis, MO Apr. 2017 to Jan. 2020

National Operations Manager- Technology

Recruited by Ascension to manage hardware lifecycle and Capital budget of $37MM with 15 direct reports and field services staff of 400 at 153 hospitals. Leader of Field Services teams managing by communicating strategic priorities throughout the service lifecycle.

Partnered with McKinsey Consulting as the point of contact (POC) to outline scale and deliverables of Ascensions Mission Inspired Transformation.

Played key role collaborating with Insight the Hardware Reseller in the vendor outsourcing initiative to move inventory control off site. Phase 1 to standardize to 3 computer models reducing cost by 18% and decreasing hardware delivery.

Lead the successful Windows 10, Cerner, Epic corporate business and medical software upgrades affecting 145K devices while achieving a $5.2MM savings over 18 month deployment. The project completed on time without business interruptions.

Leased to Own Hardware Model, transitioned out leased computer devices and replaced them with $30MM of new hardware to support our annual Managed Refresh effort. The owned model reduced computer warranty from 3 yrs. to 1yr. generating an additional cost savings of $1.5MM annually.

Ascension Reliability Center (ARC) providing operational support to monitor Infrastructure, Servers, and critical applications to ensure highest availability. Revised the callout procedures to obtain faster response times. This reduced resolution times by 10-15%.

Directed the Field Services teams on the 6K under Utilized and 3K Inactive Device Management (IDM) programs to execute the recovery of 7-9K devices for redeployment or lease return disposal. This efficiency provided > $2.8MM in lease cost savings and utilizing otherwise un-used equipment.

Providing Managed Services as a trusted partner for Ascension Healthcare West and Central regions working directly with the customer Infrastructure Delivery and CIO leaders.
