Among the team of first Instructors of SAGES FLS (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery) course; trained residents and medical students in 4th year Advanced Surgical Clerkship and helped run many studies . Focus of most of the studies included understanding the surgical skill transfer by teaching and training assessment by measuring performance metrics by high end simulators Simbonix Lap Mentor: for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Stepwise fashion and

GIMentor:for procedural skills of Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, and helping develop tools for using Simulation in Surgical Education.

Research Associate Ongoing

Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology Kendall Lab

Neuroscience Research Observed Studied Correlated Animal Brainstem Neuronal Physiology control of Respiration and developed speculative concepts of Cortical neuronal physiology by data extrapolation. The three-decade cat brainstem model experiments done at USF established the concept of neuro-oscillator operon model. This work can be of bigger importance in understanding neuronal functional system of cognitive domains. It is cutting-edge research in neuronal physiology to understand how brain operates. I hypothesize that neuro-oscillator operon model in cortical domain neuronal physiology may lead to tapping and refining the science of neuroplasticity induction with potential to create new therapeutic paradigms in Neurological patient care. This may open new frontiers of scientific exploration in neurorehabilitation, for example locomotion, cognitive domain physiology leading to second look at rigidity of therapeutic window in stroke syndrome and related diseases.
