EMPLOYMENT
July 2021 – August 2021: PSE (Postal Support Employee) Processing Clerk: Perform a variety of clerk duties required to process mail using automated mail processing equipment or manual methods of sorting and distribution. Job duties include: sort outgoing and/or incoming mail using automated equipment, ensure all necessary support equipment and materials are organized for sorting, provide services at public window for non-financial transactions and lifting or carrying moderate to heavy mail and packages and prolonged standing.
July 2020 – August 2020: Enumerator, United States Census Bureau: Collect census data by doing interviews door-to-door. They help the census bureau gather information on the number of people residing in a particular town, state and country. Enumerators mostly work only during the census period and within their own local area.
June 2020 – July 2020: Mail Handler Assistant (MHA), United States Postal Service (USPS). Loads, unloads and moves bulk mail and performs other duties relating to movement and processing of mail. Work in five various task categories daily: preparing mail, dumping mail, loading containers, moving equipment, and operating vehicles; prepares mail for delivery by mail carriers.

October 2016 – November 2019: Call Center Interviewer, SMS Research & Marketing. Make automated random phone calls in a professional manner to interview respondents to gauge their opinions on surveys over the phone on a variety of issues facing Hawaii residents.
August 2014 – present: Substitute Teacher, Hawaii State Department of Education. Receive phone calls the night before and/or on the same day to report to the assigned public school for duty. Duties include taking attendance, following instructions written by the regular school teacher on the school lesson plan of the day and document what take place in the classroom.
March 1, 2012 – April 27, 2012: CI Delivery/Installation Specialist I, Hawaii Correctional Industries, Hawaii State Department of Public Safety. Operate vehicle(s) as a major work assignment in transporting a variety of cargo, supervising inmates during deliveries and/or installation of Correctional Industries products and ensuring efficient, on time-delivery of all products produced by Correctional Industries Operations. The Specialist I is also responsible for the guidance and training of assigned inmates.
January 5, 2011 – January 31, 2011: Temporary Staff (Committee Clerk), House Tourism Committee in the Office of State Representative Tom Brower. Prepared packets for House Tourism Committee members; set up/cleaned up the committee hearing room; gathered/made/distributed copies of testimonies to committee members (at the discretion of the Committee Chair) at committee meetings; other duties as needed.
April 19, 2010 – June 9, 2010: Crew Leader in the United States Census Bureau, Honolulu, HI. Successfully trained, supervised and reviewed work of enumerators to ensure that procedures are followed correctly including on-site field observation of enumerators performing census work. Scheduling and organizing daily crew meetings with enumerators; reviewing their quality of work; reviewing and signing enumerators’ daily payroll.
March 23, 2010 – April 9, 2010: Group Quarters Enumerator in the United States Census Bureau, Honolulu, HI. Conducted interviews in Group Quarters settings (i.e. nursing care homes and facilities, monasteries, etc.) and recorded the number of respondents residing in Group Quarters in an official 2010 United States Census Form.
March 30, 2009 – April 28, 2009: Enumerator in the United States Census Bureau, Honolulu, HI. Performed address canvassing in residential places to ask and verify correct mailing addresses and living units status in each of the residences in my assigned blocks in the designated assignment areas being canvassed in preparation for the 2010 Census.

Wrote individualized programs to help empower Participants with Developmental Disabilities learn new skills to achieve independence with assistance from their Direct Support Workers. Performed monthly supervision visits to verify that these programs are carried out and properly implemented.

Bentley World History Workshop for Social Studies Teachers: Earned a Certificate of Completion learning about the State of Hawaii Department of Education’s new C3 (Common Core Citizenship) Framework in terms of focusing on the content of world history through a thematic approach. The workshop focused on enhancing an instructor’s ability to teach world history in a classroom of elementary, middle and high school students; assistance in lesson planning and course management.
