ODOC August 2016 - March 2023 6 years 6 months Oregon State Penitentiary From August 2016 to PRESENT, My job as a Recreation Specialist 2 is to advise 5 clubs/special interest groups. Growing/developing and Managing programs and supporting 5 staff while managing LEDS, AFAMIS, AS400, DOC400, adding and dropping AICs movement through turnouts and call passes. Currently am responsible for all program assessment, design, coordination and implementation of a wide variety of social, cultural and transition activities for the club and group programs. I submit transfer requests from Central Trust for purchases made on behalf of the club, review and maintain club accounts, submit monthly reports, establish a curriculum of instruction for inmate club proposals and for community volunteers involved in Activities programs. One of the many groups I help facilitate had a vision of building a Healing Japanese Garden and Koi Pond and WE Made it happen! I also coordinate volunteers for the Activities Floor Clubs through Visitor Authorization Forms and Position Descriptions to submit requests to become carded volunteers. My duties also include Accounting and working closely with Central Trust. I utilize a SPOTS card and reconcile my purchases every month.

The chair and vice-chair/secretary lead and supervise the committee, schedules monthly safety meetings, serves as the contact with ODOC Safety Administrator on safety matters, and retains all safety-related documents. The chair and vice-chair/secretary are able to function best with direct access to the executive director or administrator of the organization. Committee Functions Create, carry out and watch over safety-specific programs. Hold monthly safety meetings. Hold monthly workplace safety inspections. Secretary produces reports for record retention and compliance. We scheduled monthly meetings, maintaining Outlook calendars. Documenting data by working with spreadsheets, responsibilities include ordering office and safety supplies, coordinating and providing data entry support.
